Deck Description

Modern legal Elf deck that builds on itself very very quickly. It is vulnerable to mass removal but that isn't very prevalent where I play and this deck is often fast enough to beat my opponents before they are able to play it.

Basic game plan is to play out the mana ramps early and get creatures on the board asap. Depending on what your opponent does either hit them in the face every turn to whittle down their life or wait until you can overwhelm their defenses in a single turn (with trample or more attackers than blockers).

How to Play

Fairly straightforward aggro deck but there are several useful mini-combos in this deck that I like to use.

- Immaculate Magistrate puts counters onto Joraga Warcaller... obvious but very effective
- Use Evolution Charm to give an opponents creature flying, then use Jagged-Scar Archer to kill it. Use Aspect of Hydra if needed to pump first
- Use Mercy Killing on your own creature (I prefer to use Jagged Scar) preferably after pumping with Aspect of Hydra to create a LOT of tokens. Especially effective with Bramblewood Paragon on the board.

Example:
1 Llanowar, 1 Bramblewood, 1 Archdruid, 1 Jagged Scar on the board

Aspect of Hydra gives Jagged Scar +6/+6 (with +1/+1 from archdruid) it becomes an 11/11. Tap it to hit an opponents flyer (with Evo Charm if needed) then Mercy Kill the Jagged Scar. You'll end up with 11 3/3 tramplers... Game Over :)

Deck discussion for Elf Warriors

1 Pendelhaven is always nice :)
Collective Unconscious is also pretty fun if you play elves.
Ezuri has a build-in overrun, I play Fauna Shaman to tutor him.
Besides that, always nice to see the different approaches on an elf deck.

I like Collective Unconscious. I'll have to pick some up next time I order more cards
