Then I found Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, and it fell into place. SOI's Spirits have a small theme in common with Lorwyn/Shadowmoor's faeries- jumping in and out of the battlefield. The now-you-see-me-now-you-don't play fits perfectly with Anafenza's Bolster ability, to an extent. But when your geists reach a respectable size, continuing to blink them isn't really necessary anymore. Just Ghostbust-their face.I could see maybe removing two Eldrazi Displacers for Drogskol Cavalry, to let you continue your Houdini shenanigans while buffing tokens. Or Bygone Bishop, if the Clues aren't doing enough.Suggestions are always welcome.
The restless spirits of the dead call to me. They whisper in my ear. They say, "Let me beat face." I believe we should let them. This deck has a lot of cheap creatures, all below 4 mana, to get off to an aggressive start. Most even fly, so your opponent's blockers will be mostly left watching your creatures soar right over them. While attacking every turn keeps your own creatures from blocking in the early game, once you start blinking and bouncing them you should have a steady supply of creatures confused and disoriented from being yanked out of the aether that you can immediately use as a meat(?) shield to hold off that giant carnivorous frog that I'm sure just wants to give you a hug. Anafenza likes to keep you in high spirits. Or at the very least, keep your Spirits high on +1/+1 counters. Repeated blinking and recasting helps keep everyone filled up. Mixing ghosts and steroids is a good idea. That's not the same, though, as mixing spirits and drugs. Don't do that.Keep in mind, too, your bounce spells can be used on your creatures or your opponent's. If you're under threat get rid of it. An extra point of power next turn isn't going to stop that furious angel now.
