Prowess and Heroic- a good pair with great synergy. Anax and Cymede in particular works in such a deck, being a prime target for many of your spells. After all, why buff just one creature when you can give them all +2/+2 for the turn?Dragon Grip is a fun little trick in here. Cast one spell targeting Anax and Cymede and Ferocious gets turned on, giving you the opportunity to flash Grip into play during combat. A little extra boost right in the middle of your attack can bowl over an opponent's blockers or drive through for the finishing blow.If that's not enough, Strongarm Monk acts as a Prowess anthem, boosting your creatures by an additional +1/+1 whenever you cast a noncreature spell. A 1/2 with haste isn't much of a threat in the late game. One Desperate Stand later, a 5/4 with first strike is much more fitting.
The how to play was pretty much covered in the description. But Anax and Cymede is pretty clearly one of your keys here. Prowess alone is great, but doubling up on that is overwhelming. If there's something you need out of the way Lightning Bolt is a time-honored kill spell, and for good reason. 3 damage for R makes it an old favorite of many. That it triggers Prowess is extra value in Standard decks right now. Finally, don't hesitate to put your auras on something besides Anax and Cymede if it suits the situation better. The Akroan royal couple might be a key in this deck, but when they're not around its other creatures should be able to pick up the slack.
