Deck Description

I always wanted to make an artifact deck, and now with heartless summining and tempered steel it seems like the perfect time.

With heartless summoning perilous myr becomes a free nuke, and myr superion becomes a 4/5 for 0 mana. Meanwhile Steel Hellkite and Platinum Emporion keep their powerful abilities, and with heartless summoning + paladium myr, I can cast them quite early (Emperion or Hellkite + Archangel in turn 4).

Also the white/black combo allows for the inclusion of powerful removal spells like o-ring and go for the throat.

Deck discussion for Heartless Steel (M12 standard)

Interesting idea. I'd love to hear how it does.

It's very uneven so far.

If you get a good starting hand, this deck can be amazing (turn 3 win is possible), but a bad starting hand can really leave you struggling to do much of anything.

As such it's fun for casual play, but I'd never use this for a tournament.

would the angel make it so that your artifact creatures would not get a -1/-1 or the +2/+2 because its gives them shroud? they would still come in for a cost of less but giving them shroud wouldnt let them gain or lose anything unless im looking at shroud wrong and thinking that the enchantments are abilities. in my deck i had the same idea but then decided to make it so i get rid of the heartless summoning after i get enough land out keeping the tempered steel on the field. not perfect still thinking of what i should do for the deck some things are just put in for now. maybe help?
