The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
So I've just started playing and this is the first deck i've built, with a little help from my friend who hasn't been playing much longer than I have. Any feed back, criticism (constructive preferably ha) , and general comments would be much appreciated.

This looks pretty solid to me for a first deck. Good mana base, decent control to hold off while you get your creatures out. I'm guessing this is probably with cards you actually have because there are a lot that aren't full play sets? I'm going to go the (very) general comment route and suggest, as a new player who spends a lot of time constructing decks I'll never own, construct decks that force you to look at random cards and search for something that can make an idea work (the text option on card search is excellent here). The best way to learn about the game is to know as many cards as possible, which will allow you to figure out how to best play decks and how your opponents are likely to play their decks and probably mess with yours. Of course you're running decent control so you probably already know that. That's certainly what I feel has been the best help to me, especially since I don't get to play often (at least not as often as I want, nor against as much variety as I'd like since my friends stick to their favorite mono color). I'm rambling. Basically, check out the forums and start making decks for deck challenges. I love those. I have to look for new cards, get to figure out a way to overcome the proposed problem/fulfill the goal and then I get to see how other people went about the same thing. It's awesome.

thanks a lot. yeah this deck was made without any play sets, we just got a big box of cards and put together what we thought worked. but as i said, we're both new and just learning the basics. I've played with this deck only a couple times and i keep getting my level creatures killed by lava axe or something similar, which is why i've added some counter spells to it. i would like to have a couple mana generations spells/enchantments to speed along the leveling process. any suggestions?
Death's shadow is cool and everything, but it's only good in very very specific decks. I'd take it out. I think you'll find that you won't be able to play him unless you're already going to lose.

also, just so you're aware: B and B I'm assuming means Black and Blue, however in the magic world, blue is typically abbreviated as U.
haha the reason i named it B and B was because it was black and blue. though it was also kinda a reference to bed and breakfast places, since I was eating breakfast on my bed when I uploaded it on here. Yeah the reason I added death's shadow was because my friends kept knocking my health quite low before i could get my creatures leveled up completely, so death shadow was added as kinda of deterrent since at the time I was tweaking this deck, we were playing with 4 player free for all.
Ok, the thing with group games is that people will knock your life down to a point where they can kill you with relative ease, then let you live so you can potentially help take heat off them or so you can counter opponent's spells. In a 1 on 1 match, they'd just kill you. But this brings another concern, the major problem with levelers is that they're very slow. Training Grounds is a really great card that is about $3 or 4, and will help level your guys up very quickly. I suggest adding 4 of them, if you can (but take things out in their place). I'd take out the 2 Curse of Wizardrys , and 2 lands. You won't need 24 lands when you add training grounds. If you can get your hands on them also add as many drowned catacomb as you can (up to 4) in place of basics, they're about $6, but they'll improve your land base a lot.
Oh, and Hada spy patrol might help you out. Spreading seas is also a really great card, as it will make your wavewatch unblockable, mess up your opponent's land base, AND draw you a card. Both cards are very inexpensive (15-30 cents).
Thanks a lot, I'll be on the lookout for those cards and I appreciate the help.
another cheap card to look for is venerated teacher, definitely helps to speed things up. i have a friend who runs U/W levelers thats pretty good and the teacher helps out a lot. another thing to look at might be some removal spells like doom blade. helps take care of things that u couldnt counter. other then that it looks pretty good
