You know that great old combo that Birthing Pod allowed that made the deck so popular? Remember when Pod was a fun combo deck before Seige Rhino reared its ugly head? Wizards of the Coast remembers. (sorry, I couldn't help but make that joke)In all seriousness, I almost made Pod a while back because I thought the whole Finks/Redcap combo was cool. I loved the moving parts and the things that made it so infamous. Before I gathered some key cards the bulk of the deck skyrocketed as it quickly rose to higher fame with an even higher price tag. Then, Pod got banned so gg on that whole mess. With the introduction of the new Anafenza many people, myself included, where inspired to try to birth that combo without a pod to do it. Now, we effectively have another Melira, one of the centerpieces of the combo. We're more resilient to getting extracted, and more importantly, more consistent without the aid of a busted artifact.Lots of people have been taking stabs at this idea, this is my take. Hopefully it catches on.The manabase could use some work.
Play some young men and combo out. This build is a bit more all-in on assembling the combo so it's not as aggressive as some other variants of the deck. Some neat tech is Congregation at Dawn EoT, followed by a Collected Company. This is especially effective if you have some mana dorks out from previous turns, as you could potentially win on turn 4 with the proper set up.
