Just remebering, Painter Servant helps the opponents FOWs too...!!! =)

Hi, I play Reanimator as main deck on, so I will make some sugestions. I tried many builds. First of all, Painters is a just a bad plan because of FOW, in many games will you almost have a blue card to use it. Lands seens to be ok, if you adding Sundering titan add too an Urborg, Tomb of Yawmoth, so your lands are not too much hurted too. But I found Sundering Titan not too good, almost never using it. Since your lands are going to be destroyed as well, and you dont have a bunch of lands to use on the deck, so this could screw you sometimes, plus you wil almost always choose to use it against Zoo, or 3 + colors deck, or lands deck, etc, not the best decks on meta, Maybe just the 4 color Loam. Would use Terastodon if needed, but i dont use any on my deck. The creatures setup is not too good, you really need to put more 2 Gintaxias, since they are the pinacle of the deck, many people think its Iona, indeed she can win many games, but against the main decks runing today with many colors and treats, like UW control She is Useless, not counting Karakas. Elesh Norn and Blazing Archon, are best against creatures decks, I use one of them Main Board. Archon simply destroy Affinity. Elesh Norn, just throw Dredge and Zoo to the ground. (Remember to save Mental Misstep against Sword to Plowshares) If you want something against red and with shroud go Empyrial Archangel, and I am using Inkweel on SB, in case a control deck, but I found that maybe Akroma, Angel of Fury, is best against U/W, since it cannot be target of nothing blue and white have, plus the flying thing, but control decks would always have island, so Inkweel can islandwalk, its a matter of choice. 4 FOWs and 4 Mental Missteps are a Must, since many of your spells have 1 mana and 2, so too vulnerable against Mental Misstep and Spell Snare, Daze, etc. I found Putrid Imp better then Hapless Reseracher, and it can even kill the enemy alone, if it s control guy. Short Story - Mainboard 3 Pithing Needle against U/W ancenstral Visions control, was able to resolve 2 of them one in Jace and another in Misha's Factory, one putdrid imp on table and way to drop another spell since he had a bunch on counters in hand, plus I was not drawing nothing anyway, end of story, putrid imp kill the guy, 2 by 2 till death. And started to use the entombs I drawed to shorter my deck, lol. Thoughtseize is a matter of style of play choice, but i didnt really had the necessity to use it, maybe to remove a GY hate, but its useless against Leyline of the Void and Tormod if you one the draw. I would put 2 more animate dead, you really need a bunch of reanimate spells in the deck. My setup for reanimation spells are: 4 Exhume, 4 Animate Dead and 3 Reanimate. Your worst much ups will probably be hand disruptor, like B/W with Tidehollow sculler and Hive Mind, plus all controls, since they are too many ways to stop you post board. Mental Misstep is a bitch, lure all you can before throwing and entomb or a possible sucefull reanimate. even B/W will use it, expect every deck to use Mental Misstep and enter the battefiled always thinking the enemy have at least 2 in hand, even if he is not blue. Of course if you know the opponent is playing tendrils you should be good, but not for so many turns. My creature setup is: 3x Gintaxias, 1x Elesh Norn (Other on SB), 1x Empyreal Archangel, 1x Blazing Archon, 1x Iona, 1x Sphinx of Steel Wind, 3x Putrid Imp. Never Tried Scion of Darkness, but with the cycling thing, plus the chance to bring someone from the enemy its good. But in mirror who cast Iona splashing to black or a Gintaxias, first, wins. I use 4 dazes too, they are usefull to counter 2 missteps. I use 4 carefull study, 1 Ponder (Could be a Thoughtseize here anything else). 4x Entomb, 4x Brainstorm, 4x Animate Dead, 4x Exhume, 3x Reanimate (could be 4 reanimate and 3 Animate, just a matter of taste), as I could not see your SB I will sugest mine. 3x Null Rod (Simply a must, against Tormod Crypt and Relic of Progenitus, plus its an Affinity Killer, (your "Iona" for Affinity) Turn 2 Null Rod and affinity is gone). 4x Show and Tell, another must have as a plan B, if you cant handle a Graveyard Hate, mainly Leyline of the Void and Wheel of Sun and Moon. 2x Turbulent Dreams, to return a treat or simply help you discard. Right at this moment I am in doubt, since reanimator's worst matchup is hive mind, I used to have on SB 4x Stifle, to stop the trigger on my turn and it have many other uses against other decks. 3x Pithing Needle, mainly to stop Jace and any other nasty thing on the way. Like Misha's Factory. But I dont know why I took 4 stifles out and put 1 Platinum Angel, 1 Elesh norn and 1 akroma angel of fury, maybe i am not facing enough Hive Minds, hehe. Those are my sugestions...!!! Hope it Helps..!!! Cya...!!
I agree, if its build arround Karn you need 4 Karns. Maybe take out 2 wall of omens or tanglecords. I dont know if chancellor of annex will be efficient, There is only one in your deck, so in the majority of matches you will not have on your oppening hand, when you will be able to finale resolve it, dont means you cant stop the agro decks, and against control its still not efficient, since they would probably have mana to pay, and you dont have tectonic edges to stop their lands. The Karn, Jin Gitaxias combo is interesting, you can exile him, restart the game and its GG, but you need you need to have him in hand. For lands i would get rid of dual lands that could possibly enter battle tapped and just go with basic lands and correspondent fetchlands, then you can add lotus cobra, and ramp something big really fast, since harrow, cultivate and explore have a good sinergy with cobra. Having mana leak is always good, but i dont think that is the deck proposal, you cannot cover every aspect, mainly when you dont have preordain and jace. Sideboard seens not good too, slagstorm cost 2 red and 1 colorless, and just having 4 mountains on side do not garanteed you to have mana to cast it in time against the agro, since you will probably need to cast harrow or cultivate, and it will resolve on turn 3 if you get lucky, i think pyroclasm is better, but I would just change all the SB to fit better with the rest of the deck. Elesh Norn is a cool card but something is just wrong, It is too exposed to go for the throat and doom blades. Melira is a good card to have, maybe at least 3 on SB. Karn could have some trouble, to be protected against hero of oxid ridge, since you will only have 0 power creatures that will not be able to block. I like the deck idea, and i think it could work very good, but it still need many improvements. The above idea to bring 2 blue and 2 green preatons is good, since they are GG, but you still have the hero of oxid ridge and flyers problem. The main problem when we see a good combo is not to see if they could resolve in time, when they resolve its GG, when they not you loose the game. Off course having Karn on the table is a great advantage, but to realize the "Main" combo you need at least 3 turns After resolving Karn, and have the right cards in hand, you still need to protect karn for these turns. I think there is a big hole between the alls and karn and the praetors. Some sugestions would maybe be some summoning traps, mid level creatures for a ramp deck like baneslayer, linvala, emeria angel with the fetchlands, and not too many walls, primeval titan is not bad for the ramping and the protection duty, Joraga is always a very good ramping creature. Maybe some tectonic edges on SB to rule control decks. Plus the Sinergy with Lotus Cobra and Overgrown + Fetchlands + Primeval + Vorinclex is enough to end any game, if something goes wrong just summontrap a Gitaxias maybe and its GG. And Finally I would just go Mono Green or WG, in that case Gitanxias and leaks could be a problem, but Karn will still rule the battefield. Those are just sugestions to be tested.
