Deck discussion for Eldrazi Spawn Beatdown

This deck is not tribal. One-third(20/60) cards must have the same subtype to be tribal.

Since it couldn't be Tribal Standard, it must be Tribal Legacy. I'd say you could use Door of Destinies as well. Name Eldrazi. Coat of Arms + Door of Destinies = Overpowered Eldrazi walking the planes. Of course you'd want to throw in a ton more Eldrazi spells to make it work.

Awakening Zone might as well be a tribal enchantment in this deck, and Adaptive Automaton is a jack-of-all-tribes, so I'd say it hits the twenty mark just fine. Also, a lot of people don't go by twenty cards for a tribe anymore, mostly just fish and goblins nowadays I'd wager.

It's not in their type so they don't count. The official rules state 1/3 your deck requires 20 or more of the type listed. Of course, creature cards that are Changelings count because they are every creature type at all times, even when you use Spawnsire of Ulamog to pull in Eldrazi cards you own. Gotta love that move!

If you're wagering they're using a deck that DQs them from victory, I bet they're also using at least one of the following cards: Arboria, Balance, Channel, Circle of Solace, Demonic Consultation, Demonic Tutor, Engineered Plague, Extinction, Fastbond, Flash, Gleemox, Gush, Imperial Seal, Library of Alexandria, Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, Mishra's Workshop, Moat, Necropotence, Peer Pressure, Skullclamp, Sol Ring, Stasis, Strip Mine, The Abyss, Time Vault, Tinker, Tolarian Academy, Tsabo's Decree, Umezawa's Jitte, Vampiric Tutor, Wheel of Fortune, Yawgmoth's Will. In which case, they'd also forfeit any victory as well.

Not many people around this site seem to care about the tournament version of the tribal format, it started as a house type, and it'll remain one to me.
I'm a DCI rules advisor, and not between me and all the judges I know could a single person who actually plays the bland version of tribal like that, unless you count my Merfolk deck.

People post their decks here to show off and get advice on how to make them better. To comment on how to improve them, you need to know what you're restricted to. If you don't like how I think, then label your deck in your deck description. For all we care this deck is freeform and needs for of each broken card in the entire freaking game.
