Deck Description

With the release of M15, I believe Simic can finally become a Standard thing.

Anticipating going either RUG or Bant with this build, depending on how things turn out. The hope is to remain just UG, but if either of the two prove better, I'll transition to that deck.

How to Play

Ramp with the Mystics and the Caryatids, play big creatures.

Use the 'Walkers to keep the deck fueled. Kiora can play more lands while gaining card advantage (or, you know... Krakens), Jace to dig for what you need as well as slowing down Aggro decks, Garruk to keep the hand filled with all the creatures necessary, Nissa to ramp and to make your lands trample over.

Nylea and Thassa are great to help get those beefy creatures smashing into your opponent's face. Zegana draws lots of cards. Prophet pretty much accelerates the deck like crazy, forcing the opponent to either board wipe or destroy the Prophet instead of your big bombs. Soul of New Phyrexia helps stop Supreme Verdict. Genesis Hydra to get a great 2 for 1 deal.

Sideboard is built for various decks based on my meta at my LGS.

Deck discussion for Chord of the Simic

I think your land is way too low...should be atleast 24 or 25. I like the darksteel citadel for nissa

I've thought that same thing as well. I'm thinking of adding in another Darksteel Citadel, maybe another Forest or something. However, if I run any more than what I have now, I then have mana flooding issues... which, to some, is never an issue. With 3 Mystics, 4 Caryatids, 2 Prophets, 2 Nissa, 2 Nykthos, 3 Kiora, and 2 Sylvan Primordial fetching more lands... I usually never have mana problems when testing this deck.

Again, though... I have thought about adding more, just to be safe... but I don't really have any idea what to take out to add in two more lands. Any suggestions?
