My own design of a classic "XX-Land" prison deck. In this case, the land count is 36, as I find it is not only the fastest means of locking down the game, but it is also the most stable. A major change is the addition of two copies of Thespian's Stage, which serves a brilliant role as a source of even more versatility and resilience. I also run a full playset of Mox Diamonds in place of opting for another tutor effect such as another Enlightend Tutor or even something like Entomb. I feel like this choice, as well, helps accelerate the time at which I can effectively lock the opponent out.

You stole the idea for Ethersworn from WnB didn't you?

I certainly did not.
Hrm, well I guess great (and douchey) minds think alike =]
Interesting, Thespian's Stage is definitely a powerhouse in an XX-Land design. Certainly have to look into testing them in my own.I find it interesting to note that despite the few discrepancies between our designs, yours plays quite differently. And while it does have an effect on speed, I can't say how much breathing room the single copy of Entomb over the fourth Mox grants. Welcome to the vault Artemis!
Thank you. And an apparent welcome back to you!Thespian's Stage has been a boon to the deck, no doubt about it. The choice of a fourth Mox in place of another tutor does give the deck a more, dare I say, 'reckless', style to it. However, because I must discard a land whenever I play one of those said Moxen, I don't have as much of a loss on the toolbox side of things as you might think. The selection is limited to my hand, but even so, having an "effective" lockdown as early as turn one is powerful, and handily makes up for that originally lost breathing room in that way. Establish a soft lock fast, then use it to take your time finding the missing pieces to make it a full lockdown. I will have to look at your design though. Who knows what inspiration I could gain from a fellow control player?
