Deck discussion for Griefer's Wet Dream

Oh god, I remember that! It was so awkward...Wumps and I were playing a game and look over to see this kid just flat-out crying.

We both looked at each other like http://www.myfacewhen.net/view/6083-omg

Quite the contrary, it is my wife who is the ginger.

You know it's a common misconception that us gingers have no souls, we just don't have our own.

Ah yes, Jen always tells me each freckle represents a stolen soul.

Oh, that's the new method of storage. For us purists, you can tell only by how blind we would make somebody at a beach.

Interesting. The selection of two Pox, and two copies of Smallpox is quite unusual, but strange selections like that are common in your group. What really surprises me is that you play the full playset of Sinkhole, /and/ Hymn to Tourach. Usually those two are vying for the same slot, but in here it feels more like you've replaced the slot usually occupied by what would be other Poxes. Quite an interesting move.

Bloodghasts are certainly the easiest win condition to use under a Nether Void, but the landbase feels a bit awkward support them without the full playset of Wastelands to me. Though, in this deck it would be even more awkward trying to play them. If anything, I'd suggest dropping the eleventh Swamp for a second Undiscovered Paradise for consistency of Bloodghasts.

All in all, I'm quite impressed. It's well rounded, and has me curious as to which is worse; this, or a Stasis based Prison deck.
Also, it may be a bit terrible of me, but I say congratulations on making somebody cry because of this game!

I think what is most interesting is you are one of the very few people to have figured out how I ended up with that particular layout. You are a very cleaver bloke, I must say.

I gave the second UP a try and it worked beautifully. Thank you friend.

It was, in a sense, amazing. Unfortunately my triumph was overshadowed by how bleedin awkward it was to have a grown ass man blubbering away like a ninny half a table away from you.

Understanding comes with experience, and if there's anything I have experience playing and building, it would be Pox.

No problem, always happy to help!

I can see how it would be awkward, I don't think I would be able to stop myself from grinning ear to ear though. Social conventions of sympathetic sportsmanship be damned.

The one grinning from ear to ear was our shop's owner, Karl. He is a good person at heart, but damn if he isn't the least sympathetic bastard alive. From the register he shouted, "Hey crybaby, try not to get my play mats all soggy!"

You mean Glue Stax? In theory they're quite alike, they were both derived from MUD Stax after all, but in play they are worlds apart. The difference between Glue and Pox variants is simply staggering, in play, and even the actual designs themselves.

I will, and it is quite a good deck, one of my favorites even. I still say they are too different to really lump together so readily though, it really only boils down to the ideology of the decks; I win because you can't. You can't because you have no power. You have no power because you have been denied.
Really if one boils it down to the ideas, without reflecting on the methods, you could say that Stasis Prisons are simply a Blue version.

I'm not trying to be rude or snooty, I'm just very particular about these decks, and I apologize if that's the way this comes off.
