Deck discussion for Elemental Wither

very nice idea. i have a mono black wither deck and now I'm really curious about switching it up and throwing in some red as you have done.

As for your deck...I would probably replace the 2 Incremental Blight with 2 more Crumbling Ashes. The Blight is a tad costly and likely to backfire whereas having multiple Crumbling Ashes in play can quickly seize control.

with red, you also have the option of adding something like Power of Fire with Corrosive Mentor for a cost effective way of consistently giving out -1/-1 counters to enemy creatures. A few Fists of the Demigod would be nice as well.

i recently took out a few things to make more room, the incremental blights do have a tendency to backfire. I haven;t found much space for corrosive mentors.

a quick note: the Marsh Casualties will not trigger any of your effects related to -1/-1 counters. giving a creature -1/-1 until end of turn is a separate effect and does not involve counters.

yeah your right, they are in there for token killing. my wife plays flourishing defenses..... tap 5 to unmake wither deck. Splash killing tokens has been an easy way to pick apart swarm decks and take someone out in one desperate stroke.
