The situation:
The Vault is flooded with budget decks, everybody is flocking to the "Hot" page while 99% of the decks uploaded get zero attention. Giving good advice rarely pays out, getting good advice is also a rare thing. There are many players left that would be able to but resigned and gave up. I figured we just need to organize ourselves better and help each other out. Thus I came up with this, called the Deckhelp Alliance.
The idea:
* I'll invite players to become a member by posting on one of their decks, providing the link of this "deck". I will NOT make this public and keep it unlisted, so you need the link to get here. This is to prevent attracting random people. We aim at a tight group that grows by invitation only. Feel free to spread the link but only do so if you are sure the guy will be a worthwhile addition.
* Members will be listed in the "Tell us how to play it ..." section here. I will try to keep it up to date. You can provide additional information about you, like preferred formats, but also ways to communicate, like Skype nicks. Also, make sure to list them as your "friends" here on Vault.
* If you need input on a deck or created a new one, you post here and provide the link to decks you need help with. Other members can check that out and comment. We prefer constructive ciriticism over "cool deck, bro"-type of comments! And once you got a (hopefully helpful) comment THEN YOU HELP THAT PERSON ON ONE OF THEIR DECKS, TOO!
To make that work you need to keep up the subscription on this thread. You also need to have proper deck descriptions and maybe add information about the areas you need help with.
* This is still on voluntary basis, though, make use of common sense and be pragmatic. We are all humans and have RL-stuff to do, so this isn't a "I did comment, now you owe me" kind of thing - but as long as we keep the memberlist to truly motivated and mature people, this shouldn't be much of a problem. In fact, once you've seen interesting decks of others, you probably don't need exra motivation to post :)
To sum it up:
Know your peers, keep an open eye on what they are doing and if everybody does that, everyone of us will get his share of attention. It's as simple as that.
Members of the Deckhelp Alliance:
PUSCHKIN
URL http://www.mtgvault.com/puschkin/
Formats: Vintage, Legacy, Modern
Modes: Casual, Multiplayer, Pentagram
Expertise/Emphasis: Sophisticated (mostly unusual) casual decks, when commenting I always try to keep decks in theme. I could help on competitive decks in older formats but I am a bit rusty and I give a rat's ass about Standard.
Skype: puschkin_
ZAKLAX
URL http://www.mtgvault.com/zaklax13/
formats- Modern, Standard, legacy, tiny Leaders.
Expertise- competitive. If you are playing at fnm's, or taking it to the next level of pptq/gpt/iq's, I should be able to help you fine tune. I have 5 modern decks, 2 legacy, and 3-5 rotating standard decks, and I put in a lot of playtesting. I appreciate new ideas as long as they are functional.
GRANFLUX
URL http://www.mtgvault.com/granflux/
Formats: Modern, Legacy, Vintage
Modes: Multiplayer, Casual, Two-Headed Giant, EDH/Commander
Expertise: I really enjoy competitive casual and multiplayer. Very occasionally I will play two-headed giant and commander. As far as deck builds in general..your deck will need to be unique in some way to get a like or comment.
DRAKERAENES
URL http://www.mtgvault.com/drakeraenes/
Formats: Modern, Casual, Some EDH, Some Legacy
My group is all about the fun of the game, so winning isn't our primary focus. We build a deck based on the flavor of it, not the best possible cards that cost the most money, however this doesn't make us budget either. We regularly by singles, and I myself order boxes of a set if it's worth it. I do like to play some competitive matches occasionally, and have a few decks irl that can hold their own in tourney play. I also like to play commander from time to time. I'm a practical deck builder with hundreds of ideas and decks built around them. I never make the same deck twice, or try not to at least. ;)
TheSWARMER
http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/
Formats: Modern, pauper and casual
Expertise-Modern, only have one semi-competitive deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budgetish-modern-bg-loam-pox/ mainy budgetish and unusal decks. Mainly play at small fnm-like events.
Pauper: still a noob in this format but I try to play it as often as possible.
Casual: Most of my friends only play casual, I have a bunch of casual decks and most of the plane cards.
Budget: I own lots of budget decks and I enjoy making them (BUDGET IS NOT CAUSAL!)
GOTHY
http://www.mtgvault.com/gothy/
Formats: Standard, Modern, Legacy, limited and Pauper
Expertise: Competitive standard, modern and legacy
I play Semi-Pro events, particularly limited events because its less 'Here is my wallet' and more 'Here is what I've really tried to build from a random pool' and I like the second.
KJSJ3
http://www.mtgvault.com/kjsj3/
Formats, standard, modern, legacy, edh, tl.
Expertise, casual, semi-competitive. (Mostly FNM. Lots of top 8s).
Likes combo and control decks.
Dislikes playing creature heavy decks/creatures in general.
Banned from using certain decks within play group.
More than happy to look at any deck. Comment not guaranteed.
WICKEDDARKMAN

EXPERTISE: Mill.
SUREWHYNOT
URL http://www.mtgvault.com/surewhynot/
Formats: Legacy, EDH, Tribal, Vintage to some extent.
Expertise: Extraction, tempo/control, grave-based/sacrifice decks, hyper-aggro.
My resumé: I have single-handedly created the extraction deck type known as PAL, and am one of the leading designers across the American and European branches of The Deck Builder's Guild for all forms of Extraction. With other members of The Deck Builder's Guild I helped design American Control, CAW-Blade, Lucky Charms, DarkStage and I was solely responsible for the creation of Kuldotha Rust. I have been playing playing Magic since my parents bought Alpha to help teach me to read at the age of 4 and I consider myself a living encyclopedia of Magic cards. I also just really, really love this game =]
JensDagon
URL http://www.mtgvault.com/jensdagon
Formats: Legacy, Vintage, and to a lesser extent Modern.
Expertise: Pox, Doomsday, extraction, control/tempo, graveyard based, toolboxes.
Introduction: Frequent winner of most evil deck award, former Rules Advisor 2. Obsessive playtester, and meta observer. I thrive on learning, analyzing, and disrupting new decks. I previously had the opportunity to become a columnist on the forums, but was forced to cease my attempts due to real life circumstances. Will happily look over any list.
AMBEROTH
URL: http://www.mtgvault.com/amberoth/
Format: Casual, Singleplayer, and Multiplayer decks
My resume: Magic player for about three years. My cousin from Russia who is also on this site introduced this game to me. I started with a mono green deck and am now dabbling in broader kinds of decks. I value constructive criticism and am equally as willing to issue it out when I may, if it should benefit someone in the process of creation.
DEDWARDS
http://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/
Formats: Modern and Standard
My group plays mostly Modern and Standard so that is where my best knowledge of the game is. I also try assist Pauper and the odd EDH/Commander deck, but mostly on a whim. I tend to lean towards aggro strategies, but I do enjoy midrange and combo decks. Control, and by extension most blue, is where I'm least helpful.
As for Skype, etc., it'd probably be best not to. I live in South Africa. With the crappy internet connections we have and the time zone being GMT+2, timing could be a problem
SORIN MARKOV
http://www.mtgvault.com/s0rinmark0v/
Formats: Causal, Modern, Commander. Occasionally Standard
I like to build a serious deck with a jokey idea.
