Deck Description

This is for multiplayer, mostly Pentagram games, but also for 2 on 2. The environment is Vintage, but we don't play cutthroat. It's just that we are all veterans that play since 1994 and never stopped including old cards.

We don't use sideboards in multiplayer, cards in the sideboard are cards I consider adding.

It all started with Strongarm Tactics which I picked up a playset of dirtcheap. Next step wa to trade for more Squees which I always wanted to build a deck around. The main theme is to use Squee as discard material to fuel other cards. However, because I love versatile decks and hate it to get stuck when my trick doesn't work I added two subthemes:
At first I planned to never actually play Squee (I wasn't even sure if red should be in at all). But one of the cards that I wanted to play for sure is the Zombie Infestation which genrerates creatrues. So added Mountains (to be able actually play Squee) and some cards that sacrifice creatures for other effects as well as more ways to create token creatures.
Finally there is a small discard subtheme. Abyssal Nocturnus can be deadly in multiplayer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What I need:
I need a card that an save my Squees from opponents that try to exile them from my graveyard.
Since I abandoned the Elixirs I have no lifegain - I need something decent here.
And I certainly missed out some great cards that fit one of the themes, so any suggestions are welcome!

How to Play

Squee is mainly there to fuel the cards that need discard. He is also good sacrifice material of course but that requires to play him again every turn. At three mana this isn't a very efficient way. So, use discard effects with first priority regarding Squee.

This deck gets stronger slowly but progressively, each new card adds more ways to discard/sacrifice and there are many interactions and synergies beyond Squee. Pay special attention to Abyssal Nocturnus, he can singlehandedly kill opponents if you cast Strongarm Tactics and/or Syphon Mind and/or activate Chandra and/or have the Lethamancer in play the turn you attack with the Nocturnus. Note that he gets the +2/+2 bonus for every single card your opponents discard.

Deck discussion for Squee Tactics

This is what I will be playing tonight. Cards in the sideboard are cards I didn't find and maybe don't own, will have to trade for them (except the Gate to Phyrexia). I am at 61 cards anyway ... will cut whatever turns out to be the least useful. Probably Mortician Beetle and one Necrosavant.

I'd still like to hear some suggestions, there are probably dozens of cards that would fit that I misses out.

I love this deck! Cards I might suggest are call to the netherworld for fueling your discarding cycle, undertaker i would say is a must much in the same way with netherworld to keep cycling your discard fuel back to your hand, and hellcarver demon i think would be a fun finisher for this deck i think.

Hellcarver Demon is way too risky in my meta. My buddy had a deck build around 4 of them and it only worked when nobody knew what he was going to do. But I might consider Xathrid Demon or Demon of Death's Gate as a finisher.

Call to Netherworld ... I am not convinced of. It doesn't work on red or artifact creatures. And while it has madness, I only save a single mana, where is the gain in multiplayer? I'd rather use Disturbed Burial instead. Or Hell's Caretaker for that matter. I might be able to trade for an original Legends one soon, if I manage to seal the deal he will be in for sure.

The Undertaker, however, how could I miss it? I put him in for now but what to cut?

I really like this deck that I made my own twist, and would love your feedback on it:

I guess this deck is still being worked on? Either way I really like it :)

No, it's "finished" in the sense that it is built and already in use. But I never stop tweaking decks! Decklist is up to date but the description isn't, I'll fix that soon. Cards in the sideboard are still cards I consider adding.

Oh I understand. I tweak mine a lot too.

Meanwhile I enjoy tweaking more than building new ones. First, it's more convenient. Then, it's fun to update existing decks when a new Magic Set has been released. But more importantly: If you make just a few changes and play in between you can monitor how this effects performance. That's not only fun, it also a good way to learn something.

...
How is it that no one has suggested Liliana's Caress? (I am unimpressed with everyone who commented previously and didn't suggest this card).
Maybe a Bloodchief Ascension? (risky in multiplayer). It does give you great lifegain though!
Sangromancer would also give you great lifegain and fit the theme.
Stupor belongs in this deck as well (provided you want to keep the discarding theme up).
Also, this is a random thought and do with it as you will but, Decree of Pain.
I can't suggest a lot for this deck as it's so far out of my playstyle. I think you've seen all of my best decks at this point, but feel free to drop more comments as long as it's not fluff. Comments help to get to the front page, but I don't want to get there by fluffing posts.

About the Caress: Maybe because I mostly discard myself. That I make others discard, too, is more of a byproduct. Caress, much like Megrim before that, is a bit cheesy and frowned upon in my playgroup. It is quite effective of course and a valid suggestion, however, it might make me more enemies than I can handle. And unrightful so, since I don't make opponents discard THAT much. If I drop a Caress, I basically signal "hey, you will all lose your hands soon and maybe die a horrible combo-death when I cast a Wheel of Fortune or any other draw-7-effect", so they will hit me precautionary even though I don't run these cards.

Sangromancer, however, is another story and should be here, I agree. Have to trade for him, though.

Stupor is a fine card but I am not interested in pure discard.

Decree of Pain is on my wantlist :)

I will comment on more of your decks and I never fluff, don't worry. But I will be busy the upcoming days, preparing a Magic-allnighter and my big birthday bash :) It will take some time until I can come back to your decks.

There is only 1 card that I can see may be missing from this deck, and that is Library of Leng.

Why? I want the Squees and some of the other cards to go to the graveyard! If I put them on top, I basically waste a draw. Sure, it might be usefule if I have to discard something else, but that situation will be rare and not worth the card slot.
