SuperMercado made a series of 4 Vintage decks that he plans to proxy and make available for the customers of his Magic Store, so they can play against each other and experience what it is like to fling 10k+ worth of cards around. I helped him out streamlining those. One of them needed too much work to write it all down, so I made this deck as a reference what I would aim for. This is the original deck:http://www.mtgvault.com/supermercado/decks/jambalaya/Also check out his other 3 decks because they are all ment to be played against each other.
This has the Illu Mask/Dreadnought combo which allows you to deploy a 12/12 trampler for 3 colorless mana. It also packs a healthy ... erm, unhealthy dose of disruption and resource denial (Hymn, Sinkhole, Mind Twist, full set of Strip/Wastes and Hyppies ...) to stop the opponent dead in it's track. Here some advices and tricks:* Crucible allows you to use Strip Min and Wasteland indefinately.* Braids is used to seal the deal - your opponent will be low on resources, so Braids either cripples their mana base further or eats whatever they managed to get into play. Remember that Braids can be sacrificed for itself, so it will never hurt you. But with Crucible in play you can keep a Braids going forever.* The Workshop can cast your MaskNought combo in one go! Later on, Workshops are good sacrifice material for Braids.* If you have the choice between the MaskNought combo or Hym/Mind Twist early on, always go for the Hym/Mind Twist. It'll draw any counterspells (remember, Force of Will!) and can force to discard things like Swords to Plowshares that would nuke your Dreadnought.
