Stoke the Flames is definitely going to need to find a place here, thanks. It plays so well with Monastery Mentor too, though, and I'm still all hyped on the new set y'know? :D

Thanks do you have an alternative card drawer in mind?
Sucking my Kharnhole just to know my name.
Looks like value town. I'm not sure if you ever want to hit two Underworlds in a game, but if so would 3 be an option? Sphinx's Revelation mitigates its necessity but think about it.I wish Aetherling were your only creature win con and you were more all-in on Elspeth and Dissolves or something.Still, really strong take of 4 colour control. Me like.
Voyaging Satyr is worth testing, and Arbour Colossus maybe once some stuff become rotatoes, thanks. Pharika's Cure side is important at the moment with Boros burn decks everywhere. Otherwise most of these changes are gonna make my own deck into a slight rebuild of a currently successful net-deck. Quite cookie cutter. See: http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/pr/standard-and-world-magic-cup-qualifiers-2014-08-21I'll take a look at your deck though. Thanks again for suggestions.
A shit load of filtering servers three functions. Digging for Lich's Mirror and mana excel for one, turning on Threshhold for optimum ramp, and having the damage at hand to die correctly with Lich's Mirror in play (mana stays in pool so you can continue to shotgun out Mirrors and Pox). Aggressively Pox until you die!
Go for it buddy, can confirm that there is a lot of fun to be had here.
Now that's a fun card, thank you kind sir! I love the way you can vary the power output depending on the group and state of play. Less simple than it looks, thanks bud.
Thanks RolledAOne, solid tips. No board wipes was a definite oversight for EDH, cut Chandra and Curse of Stalked for a couple of fun and/or profitable wipes. Nether Traitor is a straight upgrade on Reassembling Skeleton too and I have no problem adding that kind of power. Sheoldred, zombie Mikeaus and other various super-stars of the format on the other hand (note no Sol Ring, Top, Door of Destinies and such tribal powerhouses) push EDH decks into a realm of power that can strike fear in the hearts of all your buddies at once. I want to game the whole table diplo-style for a while with "fair" Grave Pact effects and a seemingly innocuous tribal-oriented game-plan. Humble cards like Elemental Mastery (with, say, Dictate of Erebos and Bloodflow Connoisseur on board as one example) and Vampiric Fury are effects that can explode out of nowhere for huge value.Edit: Different styles of deckbuilding, no one is wrong, thanks again for the input.
Took Angelic Destiny out because of mainboard Spellskites running around my games! But I am now running Favorable Winds, probably thanks to you. Cheers mate!
HA Gideon! Would work great with OP Rays and Arrest, bringin' the Justice.
I appreciate Mogis acting as a pre-Aetherling clock with so much control and removal, but does he ever actually do that much work? A well-timed D Demon might even get more done, or perhaps Underworld Connections for that slot? Otherwise no real concerns, aside maybe from Pilfered Plans, (but I can see that doing okey if the games go long with no Return in sight) I've enjoyed Grixis control very much since Rakdos's Return and Jace have been a thing. My personal take used Goblin Electromancer but this looks great.
Looks great, fiddle w/ numbers for a better curve! Also Nightmare isn't the best black 6 drop in Modern buddy!
This deck is a beast.
He wants to cast Plasm Capture, that's the spam-enabler, either after tapping out with Prophet on the board or otherwise. Then, if had Caryatid, break the game open t4-5 with a stupid amount of mana poured into Angel of Serenity, Prime Speaker or Progenitor. It's slowish and fragile, hence Druid's Deliverance.
Drop Voracious Wurm for 3rd Abrupt Decay and 3rd Gods Willing if you want the extra Scry (who doesn't?). If you're looking to replace the Voices, Scavenging Ooze or Fleecemane Lion fill that hole nicely as a 2-drop, but if you were willing to play around with your curve (and admittedly I really like Caryatid as your turn 2 anyway), you could try Boon Satyr for more combat tricks, Reaper of the Wilds for midrangey control play, maybe even Soldier of the Pantheon, provided you don't plan on matching up against any mono-coloured devotion decks any time soon. Or even just more Advent of the Wurm.
@FlashSamurai: Have you tested the 3rd Gift's place here or is it just included for some draw-insurance? I'm loving the look of this build, (even with Unflinching Courage it's less despicable than Cartel Aristrocrat/Lingering Souls Junk but still really strong) but the Gifts combo appears a bit clunky at best, jmcnichols was on the money suggesting just 2 Gifts and removing/moving Thoughtseize. @chronoexe: Don't be so quick to assume Thoughtseize is an auto-include in every black deck's main; FlashSamurai, with your lifegain, varied threats and general lack of card-advantage generation, I like Thoughtseize sided very much. Take out Bow of Nylea and a Ready // Willing for 2? Looks v fun chief. Edit: Maybe 3rd Gift for 4th Caryatid? You wanna be sure you can cast dem Archangels/Obzedat.
Cancel is definitely an underpowered choice in so otherwise strong a deck, and you wouldn't have to compromise how cheap it is to upgrade counters significantly (as Umbric demonstrates). Love your ramp suite, don't think additional affinity is required with the number of diversified interactions you can draw here; I particularly love drawing a Master Transmuter with basically anything, upscaling your board to reset ramp/Voltaic Key. Would play!
Medomai and Artisan of Forms will struggle to find their feet here! Focus on getting value from your other 2drops bro! Aetherling!
Livewire Lash on Infect creatures... This is disgusting in the best way.
