***** SOLDIER TRIBAL BUDGET POWER*****If you're looking for a solid, playable, and flexible modern deck for 25 bucks, you're in the right place. This is my take on the classic white weenie rush build using modern cards, updated with my favorite Return to Ravnica soldier, Precinct Captain :)PLEASE RATE and I will rate one of yours. Thanks! :D**************************************
The deck is EASY to play, and has proven surprisingly resilient, sometimes managing to take out decks literally ten times more expensive. Drop, drop, rush and flood the board with little strikers. Take out their biggest threat and aggro for the win.ONE DROPS:> Elite Vanguard: 2/1 for one with soldier creature type. Great starter.> War Falcon: Same as above, but with flying! Can swing on turn two.TWO DROPS: > Precinct Captain: 2/2 first strike. Already good. Drop and swing immediately. You will either take out a good creature, or start flooding the board. Sweet.> Kazandu Blademaster: 2/2 first strike AND vigilance for 2cmc? And it buffs itself? Really? Really?> Porcelain Golem: I usually drop this turn two. Fragile but opponent is usually forced to go out of his way to deal with it. 3/1 first strike. And that's before any buffs.THREE DROPS:> Adaptive Automaton: A good, budget alternative to Field Marshall. Most of our soldiers have first strike anyways. Sells for about a dollar where I'm from.> Silverblade Paladin: Turns itself and one other card into an instant 'must-answer' Best friends with: Precinct Captain! :OOTHERS:> Odric, Master Tactician: The most fitting, budget option for this deck. Very fun to use as well.> Condemn: Awesome card. Cheap pricetag. Clears the board up for you.> Bonds of Faith: Buff a soldier or take out their biggest threat. Nice and flexible.> Silver-inlaid Dagger: +3/+0 most of the time. Especially deadly good on your strikers.> Mikaeus, the Luminarch: Still debating on whether to use. Lategame oomph but not sure if he deserves that slot :P**** SUGGESTIONS AND FEEDBACK WELCOME******YOU RATE AND COMMENT ON MINE, I RATE AND COMMENT ON YOURS :)

Looks good and reliable to me, my only concern would be board wipes but not alot could be done about that unless it was damage; Rolling Temblor, Anger of the Gods, etc. in the event of those I would recommend Brave the Elements. It could also allow your guys to squeeze through some damage if needed as well.

Great card suggestion. I'll decide what to take out for it.Nobody in my circle of friends plays Supreme verdict etc, so it does fine in kitchen table xDI'll add Brave the elements soon :)) Thanks!
So I see you're trying to keep the cmc low, but captain of the watch would be great in this deck. It gives other soldiers +1/+1 and vigilance.
Thanks for the suggestion. Her cmc's pretty steep but I'll give it a go.
Crusade, Honor of the Pure, or Glorious Anthem would be very good here.
I can't use crusade since I play modern. Honor the Pure is a little pricey, but would be awesome if you could grab some :)
Whoot! Whoot! I love these classic, basic decks! Especially this one!
Thank you kind sir xD
Nice deck bro!
Thanks man! Appreciated.
Not suuuuuper budget-y, but what about Soldier of the Pantheon instead of Elite Vanguard?
That would definitely push it over $25.
Prenict captin ftw http://www.mtgvault.com/thatsign/decks/wb-standardpast-the-midrange/

Elite Inquisitor is better than Kazandu Blademaster in this deck! Also, instead of Silver-Inlaid Dagger, Armored Ascension might be better.
Blademaster can become bigger though, so other than the occasional time that your opponent has vampires, werewolves, or zombies, Blademaster is better IMO.
Blademaster only becomes bigger if you have allies in your deck... unless you're trying to combo them off of each other, the chances of the game finishing before you draw two of them is quite high though...
That's what I was saying. And the chances of having two in your hand are fairly high. It won't work every time, but I think it would occur more often than losing the game because it didn't have protection from vampires, werewolves, or zombies.
That is a fair point. That brings me to my next suggestion though, why not use Hada Freeblade?
Well done! Haven't you thought about including a Captain of the Watch? It is not very expensive and great Soldier Buffer. I am not very fond to the Falcon as is not a proper soldier, but the problem is that the choices I am thinking are probably over your budget (Champion of the Parrish or Soldier of the Pantheon), but there's got to be something I am missing. Besides that great budget deck! Does it really costed 25 bucks? Because the average price of some cards are really lower than the ones I usually find. Just to check on how real that estimator is.I would appreciate if you could check my Soldier Deck, which I've been playing for some time and it is very solid, but I am always looking ways to improve it: http://www.mtgvault.com/kajuata/decks/soldier-avalanche-20/
I would replace one of my one drops with Champion of the Parish if this weren't budget.Well the estimator overestimates some cards, and underestimates others. On the whole, it's still decently accurate :) Thanks for the comment. Liked and commented on yours!
Great Deck, but what do you do when they have big defenders and a combo?
You may want to consider Brave the Elements.
If you drop your Knights and Blademasters, you can fit in 3x Honor of the pure and 4x Call to arms, breaking even with budget. I'm also really not a fan of Bonds of Faith, for cheap, I think you'd be better off with Guardians' Pledge, which could almost be a win condition for you.May also be handy to have a wrath effect like Solar Tide, but it'll depend on who you're playing. SB it?
If you aren't counting the sideboard toward the overall cost, Dawn Charm would probably fit well (and is very budget friendly). I would say to mainboard it, but it only seems useful some of the time or against certain decks. You could use it as a Fog for all those times there's a bunch of fliers that you can't deal with (or the random unblockable stuff or other aggro decks, etc.), it could help you survive a boardwipe, and it could help keep things like edicts and burn spells away from you.Just a thought.Oh, also, I second the motion to consider Brave the Elements.
Great deck man!Have you considered Veteran's Armaments?
I've been looking for a soldier deck to try, going to take this one for a spin, see how it plays!
