The deck was originally a Myr Superion style build. Very aggressive. Birthing Pod seemed to be a perfect fit, turning the Priest of Urabrask into a Vengevine for added pain. After that, Acidic Slimes and Phyrexian Metamorphs are pretty hard to beat.
