Deck discussion for Splicer/Golem

Deck works very well. When the combos go off it works incredibly well. It lost to my older brothers mill out deck but still both games came right down to the wire.

I love playing Splicer, such great cards. I’ve made 2 different splicer/golem decks which I’ve been playing for the last months. One is rather slow, the other a bit speedier. Have a look at them:

The only advice I can give you is that I feel that Maul Splicers 7 mana cost is too much. Although a pretty expensive card and not in the Golem theme is Wurmcoil Engine, it will also benefit greatly from your Tempered Steel and you could use it as a replacement for Maul Splicer.

Again, not very walletfriendly, are the dual lands, which will be a great addition for this type of deck. And don’t forget Solemn Simulacrum is also a Golem and a fantastic card.

Good luck with your deck!

I have to agree with Gavan. You could simply remove the to maulers for 1 more master and 1 more blade splicer.

Thanks you two for the responses. I will have to think about possibly working in a wurmcoil engine as it is a incredible card. Also between my brother and me I am sure we have a lot of dual lands. This is my first attempt at building deck. Thanks you guys for the input!

Not a bad looking deck. I would take out the precursor golems. You might wanna check into some xenografts and adaptive automaton. You need to add a Karn. Just doesn't seem right not to have to head golem in this deck. Check my spliced deck out too. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=279897

im not going to be like everyone else and say check out my splicer deck but if you would loke too your welcome. I'm going to say wha you need to do with this deck. first take out birds of paradise, mana leak, vapor snag, all of your artifacts except two titan forges, 2 sensor splicers, 1 blade splicer and 1 tempereed steel. Next add 4 vital splicers, 2 descendants path, 2 xenograft, 2 more master splicers, cloudshift most definitely, favorable winds, get two more maul splicers, and plenty more. Now that you have read this if you want to be putting golems out EVERY TURN then check out my splicer deck. I promise if you make these changes you wont regret it . http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=340497
