That seems pretty solid. I feel that Ponder is superior to Preordain due to the ability to shuffle but I guess that's just personal opinion. I'd throw in a couple Fling(s), used in conjunction with Kiln Fiend it can be a one shot kill.

I see what you're saying with the evasion but yeah in my opinion, there just isn't a cohesive theme there. I had to work on my U/B deck for a while and I still am. U/B isn't good enough in standard at the moment but I have high hopes for the new tezzret in the next set to change that. If you're not about standard then Ponder is so much better than the cryptologist early game, it's not a permanent though. 1 blue for top 3 look, one draw or shuffle, draw. it's gross. If you have a Mimic Vat or two that could really help.
You could always use terramorphic expanse, no where near as good but they're super cheap commons.
Proliferating Joraga is a good idea, hadn't occured to me. I mostly rely on Beastmaster Ascension or Stampede. Maybe I'll playtest a couple clasps in my Elves.
In some cases Auriok Sunchasers and Edgewrights are superior with equipment than Kor. You almost always have Metalcraft.
Allies deck mill, I've been thinking about that for a while. Is it actually playable? My only suggestion would be halimar depths and some dual lands. I was thinking liliana's caress or duress to keep cards out of your opponent's hand.
I'm so tired of this deck. "Hey guys let's spend our way to a good deck." I love eating this deck with a bunch of commons.
I agree with the previous post, your creatures are all wrong. Cryptologist suggests a U/B Mill deck, it's useless in control. 6cc Sphinx? Two issues, any other deck besides another slow control will kill you or have you so crippled that you scoop by the 5th turn. The second issue is, say you do get it out, it's not as if it can block 5 enemies by itsself. While I love Skithy, and use him in my U/B control/infect deck, he's not too useful here if he has no support. It too comes out far too late for any real use against any form of burn or agro. If you're going for infect here's what I'd suggest: Cryptologist = Necropede Sphinx = Plague Stinger Skithy = Keep him if you want infect to be your end game. Cancel Doom Blade Grasp of Darkness = While removal is good this doesn't take care of everything, I'd suggest Negate instead. Into the Roil = If you ever actually kick this card you should be doing something else with that mana. Mana Leak Spell Pierce Haunting Echoes = Good stuff, I need a couple of these. Inquisition of Kozilek = I'd keep that over duress, duress's great limitation is not being able to get rid of creatures. I think ultimately that either picking infect or what I think you are actually about, milling/discard, will really focus this deck and make it more playable.
For this kind of deck I find that speed is essential. I put one in my elf deck after I opened one from a pack and it's not terribly useful to a weenie deck. To get the proper bang for the buck, so to speak, Genesis Wave comes too late and fails to allow you a better top deck pull of an Overwhelming Stampede. At best you dump 6 to 10 and get a bunch of 1/1's or 2/2's, maybe your Ezuri if you're lucky. Genesis Wave would be awesome for beasts or even soldiers that could build off each other (especially with Battle Cry coming back to standard) but without Overrun or Stampede all those elves are generally useless.
Garruk is always good, it gives you another Overrun option I wish I had him too. Sylvan Ranger gives you a creature to chump block with, enhance with a pump, stampede with, become a 3/3 or more with Warcaller, etc. I'd drop the forests down to 16 to 18, it frees up more space for other things and you'll be fine without the extra land. Primal Bellows is a great pump if you have it and Vines of Vastwood is highly reccomended too. Getting the deck to 60 cards always helps too.
I wish I had the two Asceticisms and two Joraga Treespeakers (would replace the Greenweavers in my deck) you have.
Generally I find that Sylvan Rangers work a little better than Cultivate. 2cc for a 1/1 Elf that lets you fetch a basic land is always nice, also it ensures landfall which is great in combo with Groundswell. The more Warcallers you have the better, more than anything else I'd say this card wins games. If you're actually going to play this I'd highly reccomend more pump spells, take out the Fogs, and at least two Naturalizes.
I'm not really understanding the addition of white... not to mention the contagion clasps. If anything the white leyline is far superior. Also by the time you cast true conviction you should have won the game if all goes well. In general I would say a failing of my T2 elves is the lack of life gain but I'd rather run 60 cards any day over having to add eleven more just for some endurance. I adjusted the decklist... While a lot is going on, the primary two things are infect and proliferate. Mana ramping comes naturally through the Leaden Myr and Silver Myr along with two Everflowing Chalices (which I added recently) and with Throne of Geth they shift to proliferation later game. Control is there to buy time and keep what's important on the battlefield. I'd say this is an evolving theme deck where ramp and control are constant to speed up and buy time, while the real action occurs through hitting with infect then proliferating to finish. Perhaps there is too much going on but it is for casual play and is still a work in progress.
