I use this for casual, and we don't really worry about banned cards, so I apologize ye tournament goers <.<
Heavy handed with the card draw, and theres a bit of mana ramp if things go right.
*Still looking for a good way of giving shroud/hexproof to all my creatures.
*Looking for a cheaper Dual Casting style card, maybe an artifact/land?
It's quite idealistic, I know, but this is how I would love to play it:
Start off with the easy drop creatures- the Myrs and Electromancers- ramp up your mana pool. Use brainstorm and ponder to set up your draws (but save a few!) so you get what you want, which is Galvanoth, Melek, and Talrand.
Once you've got Melek on the field, you play with your top card revealed, so you can cast those instants/sorceries whenever, but once you get Galvanoth out, on your upkeep, you get it FOR FREE. Let me repeat that. YOU CAN PLAY IT FOR FREE. And with Melek on the field you get a free copy of it too! Just wait it gets better. If Talrand is out there as well, you'll be dropping 2/2 flying tokens like no ones business.
Example.
On the field- Melek, Galvanoth, Talrand, Guttersnipe, Charmbreaker Devils, and a small time guy with Dual Casting. (if you decided to clone the myrs or mana artifacts, you probably won't have a problem getting this line up.)
Your top card is say, Temporal Mastery.
On the upkeep, you cast it for free with Galvanoth, you get an extra turn. Melek copies it, you get another extra turn. Tap one red one other, and your Dual Caster, you get ANOTHER turn. That's three spells cast, Talrand drops a 2/2 flying token. Guttersnipe there deals 2 damage to all players. Charmbreaker Devils gets +4/+0.
This is just on your upkeep.
AND you have 3 more turns before anyone gets a chance to do anything.
Yeah.
And of course if you REALLY HAVE TO, you can pull out the Niv-Mizzet/Curiosity combo, but that's really a last resort that you can only play early game.
