Suggestions: Azorius Arrester, Faith's Fetters, Spirit Loop, Glorious Anthem, and additional copies of the cards you find are more useful.

Don't forget: Vampiric Link can be cast on your opponent's creatures: the enchantment gives you the life, not the creature's controller.
Take out the Rampant Growths and the Harrow, and the Explore. Replace them with some large creatures (Look at Craw Wurms and work your way up) *Edit* Make it a Hydra deck.
I can't splice Desperate Ritual onto a Lightning Bolt. Or Boomerang, for that matter, so in goes the Eye of Nowhere.Even if I were using Pyretic Ritual or Rite of Flame, I can only copy a Sorcery with Red mana using the guildmage.But yeah, for all other general purposes, Lightning Bolt > Lava Spike.
Never thought about it much: might be handy in a multiplayer game, but could draw too much attention to what I'm doing in that case. It IS cheaper, tho.
