Deck Description

3rd Degree (Burn) is a mono-red deck which has low-cost aggressive creatures and staple instants. You will take out your enemies fast and with little early game resistance.

How to Play

There are 3 Creatures that will be the backbone:
1. Goblin Guide
2. Plated Geopede
3. Vexing Devil

Goblin Guide sets up early aggression and forces the opponent to trade with their low cost creatures. If a creature were to block Goblin Guide early on you can easily dispatch them with Lightning Bolt or Burst Lightning.

Plated Geopede is great because of its Landfall effect, potentially gaining +5/+2 if Teetering Peaks is put into play. This card will be your main threat and nuisance. Undiscovered Peaks will keep the Landfall effect constant.

Vexing Devil instigates a catch 22 for your opponent let a 4/3 onto the battlefield or take 4 damage. Even if they counter or burn it as it comes out it served its purpose.

Important Burn cards:

1. Lightning Bolt
2. Searing Blaze
3. Goblin Grenade

Lightning Bolt is unnecessary to explain (but will be regardless.) This card is plain good which can deal damage either offensively or defensively. It can handle any early game creatures with ease or deal a good sum of damage to a player's life when they need it the most. It will always be the one card your opponent will never want in your hand.

Searing Blaze starts as an okay burn card that will amputate the first coming creatures, but becomes significantly better when a land enters the field. Undiscovered Paradise keeps this card being a huge threat.

Goblin Grenade deals massive damage for a low cost. The amount of Goblins that will be played is rampant. Throw a Goblin away and deal with amazingly high damage.

All other cards are supplements to force the opponent to focus on either your incredibly aggressive creatures or worry about unpredictable burn spells. Either way, you will have a faster deck and many ways to deal with whatever your opponent can respond with..
