i dont get the manabarbs concept. red always has the less mana cost spells so its easy for them to tap for lands.
i think the manabarbs will backfire on you. solemn simulacrum can add to your fetch land

the idea behind manabarbs is you board it in against the control matchup. control decks want to be able to use all the land resources possible to keep the board locked down. when you lay this card down, they really have to think about what they play and it just makes life alot easier on you because you will only be taking 2 damage per spell at the most when they will be taking more than that on average per spell. especially if they want to play a planeswalker or other game changing card
