Sanguine Bond was such a good card back in M10 that when it got reprinted in M14 I had to make a life gain/damage deck.
Use early creatures like Soulmender, Tithe Drinker, and Fiendslayer Paladin to build up your life total and provide a buffer for the rest of the game. then, once you have a decent board presence and a high enough life total play your Sanguine Bond along with Path of Bravery and Blood Baron of Vizkopa to seriously hurt your opponent. Some other good combos are Obzedat, Ghost Councel and Whip of Erebos which provides the ability for Obzedat to never stay in the graveyard since he exiles himself before the Whip does, and returns to the battlefield the next turn. There's also Archangel of Thune, which combos with Soulmender to basically tap and beef all of your creatures.

cool build!only thing is that whip has no effect on obzedat since he doesnt go to the graveyard at the end of your turn. he exiles himself completely so you cant (and have no need to since he comes back on his own, too) use whip on himagain nice build!
