Devastation Tide is great with Gatecreeper Vine... ...AEtherling is more than perfect with all the wipes in the deck, because I can phase it out.......
Win with Maze's End, or AEtherling... ...Gatecreeper, & Evolution to assist the Maze.......
I play only 1 of each gate, because noboddy playes land destruction in standard today... ...if they did, I's just put some more in the sideboard.......
I play 10 shock lands & 2 core set duals... ...so those two has 10 to rely on (not to enter tapped... ...I've found it the most stabil this way... ...Farseek of course increases the possibility.......
About the sideboard:
Elixir is for mill of course... ...3 is more than enough... ...I have lots of draw in the deck, so I'll definiately draw one before they'd mill both... ...in my mill deck, I have Rest in Peace in the sideboard to counter Elixir, so I expect others to do such... ...mill is extreamly strong these dayes... ...if they milled away even one of my gates, than exile it from the grave, I couldn't win the game by Maze's End, only by AEtherling, so I really need Elixir fast to evade that, or just cast the Witchbane Orb beforehand... ...the Orb is perfect against mill.......
Negate is against control... ...Plasm Capture is perfect against ramp, such as Worldfire, Enter the Infinite & such.......
Render Silent is good for both decks that often draw-draw-draw & draw, than cast a bunch of cards at a turn & also nice against fast aggro decks.......
Eviction & Cleansign are both useful when I oppose multiple planeswalkers, or enchantments... ...Cleansign is fine, when I have more types of threats, Eviction is better, when there are threats that are indestructible, or could be recast from the graveyard (to aid Terminus) - but Terminus can only eleminate creatures, so sometimes I need Eviction... ...keeping it simple... ...when there are both indestructible/recastable creatures & enchantments/planeswalkers, Eviction is the best... ...I can easily cast it, because I have 4 lands that could produce black mana, 4 Gatecreeper & 3 Maze's End.......
