Deck Description

Naya Human-Werewolf deck... Combo: "Mentor of the Meek" - Huntmaster - "Restoration Angel" :) ... Garruk is also pretty good with the Mentor, so as "Howlpack Alpha"(Mayor of Avabruck)...

Deck discussion for Huntmaster Overseer

This deck looks nice, but the thatcher revolt seems underpowered. Replacing it some burn like devils play or brimstone volley would be good

nice deck! my only suggestions: imma big werewolf/vampire guy so I'd take out the garruks to add in insta gang and what the thatcher for another moonmist. the transformed insta gang will boost all your little humans for game.

The deck does seem good Have you thought of Daybreak Ranger, in addition to the Huntmasters, Mayors, and Garruks? I ran a deck with Huntmasters, Garruks, and Daybreak, and it was pretty devastating in an agro-based format.

Do you really need to be that diversified with your lands?!? Its not necessary, your Evolving Wilds should be enough to get the lands you need. The rest seems a little overboard.

I could definitely see taking out the Scars fast lands for either more basics or some regular dual lands, but don't take out the dual lands that are already there. Contrary to what this guy above says, having access to all of your colors is good.

Thalia would be a good replacement for Mentor of the Meek.

Thalia would block off my spells as well...it could only be a sideboard...

Mayor of avabruck shoots down Mentor ability, so you should consider if you take out the mentors.
Full moons rise and cut down the number of Angelic overseers will be good also I believe

Thanks 4 YO' help! :)

...I'm aware of theese possible situations, but it's not a problem... U see, if I have a Mayor in play, I still can draw, when another Mayor enters the battlefield, or Townsfolk, Champion, Revolt, or the Huntmaster's token, if the Mayor isn't transformed... If it's transformed, I can draw after another Mentor as well :)... I just have to decide when to play what... ...but U was right with the facts...

MORE MOONMIST!!!!!! Arguably the most OP card from this block considering it's application.

Not a bad idea, but I don't really have that much werewolfs... well it does prevention, but more, than 2 doesn't fit the main deck... May be I take out thr Revolt for a 3rd Moonmist, but I don't know... It does transform the Mayor, when I wan't to draw more cards with the Mentor, so it won't be a bad idea...

U wrote be4, that I shouldn't be that "diversified" with my lands... Well...U R not right about that... it's the only way to avoid a bad draw, I know it from experience...not just my own experience, but at big stages, like a Pro-tour, players make lame decks... They usually screw up with the mana base... I'M NOT ONLY MAKING THE MANA BASES STABIL IN COLOR, BUT ALSO IN DINAMICITY... I DEGREACE THE POSSIBILITY FOR HAVING A LAND ENTER THE BATTLEFIELD TAPPED, SO THE DECK WILL BE FAST...

"Evolving Wilds" is not enough itselfe...

Thanks 4 YO' comments! :) ...

And two comments after another of your useless, unassisting ilk gets called out for being a blight on these comment sections, you bring your "Nice! [insert dumb generic comment]! Check out my deck please! [insert stupid link here]". You should be cast from these boards like the scourge you are! Boo this man! BOOOOOOOOOOO!

First off, love werewolves. Think that they have tons of potential. I was wondering why you had no reckless waif, and as mentioned above instigator gang would be great here as well. If you had more werewolves, or even as is, full moon's rise would go well here, giving your werewolves +1/+0 and trample. Trample and double strike is a nasty combo of abilities.

Other than that, good build. oh, and I like the land diversity. Looks like a fairly stable deck, good job.

Thanx!! :) ...

The waif is not a bad idea, but I'm not sure I wan't to change this deck... I'm thiking about taking out 1 Mentor & Revolt, than add 2 Trackers... Than a moonmist & 1 more Silverheart for the sideboards...

If U like werewolfs, I'd like your suggestions on this1: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=337363

this has got some stuff going on but will die to mass removal control decks, Like mine hence why i know it will die i would add some kind of protection for your creatures such as witch bane orb to stop bonfires targeting you than laugh when your idiot opponent casts it anyways and states all your creatures die then you point out your control an orb.

Angelic Overseer has hexproof & is indestructible at 97% of the time... The only concern is "Black Suns Zenith" & "Killing Wave"... That's why I have 3 "Nevermore" in the sideboards... Besides, "Restoration Angel" is a good counter for any type of removal... U can save 1 of your creatures & have plus 1 3/4 flying on the field at least after the removal spell resolved...

I've built this deck like there R strong comboes in it, but some of my creatures R strong by themselves, so U gonna' need a lot of removal/mass removal to beat it, if it's played the right way... Truely, this deck has it's tricks, so it might doesn't seem as strong as it is if U just look at it...

...but THX 4 YO' suggestion anyway!! :) ... U were right from a point of view...

Maybe try out a Silverblade Paladin or a Hanweir Lancer sometime. Not sure how well it would blend with what you've got but it seems like something that would be worth trying out. They are both 2/2s so no problems with Mr. Meek, and i can't say i wouldn't love to pair one of those to a Wolf.

Cool deck man. Looks like it could use a little bit of ramp though, maybe try replacing the outlaws or overseers with some avacyn's pilgrims. That way you can play a turn 2 mentor, followed by turn 3 huntmaster/angel/garruk. Kind of hard to stop that rush. Your curve will thank you too

Have to say... U've helped me a lot with this advice... :) ...

I haven't toke out the Overseer, but 1st, I've dropped a Mentor, the Thatcher, and an Outlaw & put in 3 Pilgrins...than I decided 2 drop the last Outlaw & insert a 4th Pilgrin... Than I realized, that I don't need 24 lands anymore, so I've dropped a mountain & a Retreat, out in a 2nd Razorverge ('cuz now I have only 4 cards in the main, that has red in it & 3 in the sides... No cards, that would need 2 red)... Than I put back the 4th Mentor :) ...

Glad I could help dude, the deck looks like it will play a lot faster now. You have enough threats in the deck where you won't miss the outlaws much.

I'd recomend more Silverhearts. I assume based on your deck that your metagame is decently low on removal. If this is the case, Silverhearts are the way to go. If there is more removal however (Such as is my metagame. I know, I'm a Removal spammer.) Vorapede needs to take the 5-drop spot for green. Also recomended is more Cavern of Souls. I could never afford these, and they are a bit difficualt to accuire, but they do the job excellently. If I were you, I would also cut a Garruk for either a Gideon or Elspeth, just for diversity and adaptability. If It wasn't for the Champion of The Parish, I'd also advocate cutting the Pilgrims in place of Some Birds of Paradise.
Just my two cents.

Also, any input for my deck here would be appreciated. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=348636

Good that you have been stubborn and dont take out a single Angelic overseer, with all the human support and the mana acceleration of the avacyn pilgrims I believe is seeing more play.
you should run some O-rings or Fiend hunters at least for the SB, random idea do you think Lambholt Elder could be good to speed up the deck (yeah I know I keep on trying for you to take out the mentors lol)
please check my new delver r/u deck and let me know what you think: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=352027
