Standard, Mono-Black aggro/Devotion/control...
I run Bitter Revelations in the sideboard mostly against control, so could rebuild my board game after wipes & such & not getting so behind after suffering a couple counter spells... ...that card also helps Delve(Empty the Pits/Murderous Cut) of course...That 1 Urborg is there to make Nykthos into a Swamp in case I drew my lands quite unluckily in my starting hand, but still luckily draw the Urborg... ...for example, if I draw the Urborg & 2 Nykthos for a start & I have Bile Blight in hand...Gurmag & Ripper are great at freely attacking & getting the Champion back for me... ...Pain Seer is also good for that purpose, but he easily dies in mid/late game, but that's why we have Grim Haruspax... ...besides, if Haruspex is not alone on the battlefield, it's good to bring back the Champion anyway, since I either draw a card or deal damage & I got the Champ back in the process....... :)If I use Herald on the Champ & the Champ dies, I'll have a 3/3 flyer that can probably attack freely & get him back on board without him dyeing...I haven't concentrated so much on the Devotion, cuz I didn't wanted to rely on it too much... ...too many decks with considerable removal in the format these days... ...though I can easily build the Devotion back up thanks to the draw effects in the deck.......Any ideas for improvement?..

Consider that the 1 urborg may actually give your opponent the swamp they need also. In a mono-black deck you should be safe leaving it out. I'd be interested to know if the playtesting shows that no urborg is actually worse.

Yeah, I wondering about that myself...
While we're on the subject of lands three nykthos seems a little much, most of your creatures only give one devotion so by the time it pays of to use it you will probably only have one or two cards in hand and won't really need it.
It's still great for Empty the Pits... ...& with the card draw I have here, it's likely that if my creatures die, I'll get others out & so I build my Devotion back up... ...Nykthos is relavent & I don't need that many black source anyway that I'd have any reason to use swamps instead.......
Sign in blood or read the bones would probably be a better choice than bitter revelations. They're both cheaper and you won't lose cards that might be relevant.
...but Bitter Revelation reaches deeper & if I fill my graveyard, it assists Delve... ...also, it's a good strategy to put Bloodsoaked Champion into my graveyard, cuz that way I got 3 cards instead of 2 with Revelations, if not 4...
