Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I was reading about Swans of Bryn Argoll + Chains of Plasma + Conflagrate combo when I realize OMG what about Treasure Hunt + Conflagrate ?!!!!?

General Game Plan
1. Mulligan till you have a Treasure Hunt (about 20% chance with much higher chance if opponent agrees to all land mulligans)
2. Lay land until you have at least 1URRR in mana (should happen by turn 3)
3. Play Treasure Hunt draw deck until you get a Conflagrate(50% chance). Hopefully will have drawn at least 20 lands into hand by that time. If you draw other Treasure Hunt wait a turn and try again.
4. Play Conflagrate for zero damage and put it into graveyard. Play RR to Flashback Conflagrate and then discard lands from hand to hopefully do enough damage to kill opponent.

Deck discussion for Stupid Deck of the Day

This is my new favorite deck on Vault. It may be a crapshoot, but it's got big, brass balls.

This is pure win. If you use Zombie Infestation instead of Conflagrate, you can even play this is Standard:)

Not now. I will be putting my Standard UW Control and my Modern Boros Midrange experiment on tomorrow, however.

Hi deathtyrant5000,

Glad you like the deck. But personally I don't think this deserves to be called an amazing deck it only has a very simple trick. The complex decks like those made by surewhynot, EthanLewis, raggedjoe, bnagurski and many others are truly amazing decks.

Making decks that abuse a simple trick like Treasure Hunt are just silly fun to me.

But if you want to make really amazing decks try abusing themes in Magic. Truly amazing decks abuse themes like affinity, extraction, storm, creature search, and so on.

This deck you could say is one trick pony, that's why I named the deck as I did. It's a stupid trick that would never win in tournament play, but would perhaps bring out a couple laughs in group casual play.

Anyway thanks for very nice comment hope you have fun with the deck.

If you have any decks you'd like me to look at let me know.

Treasure hunt combo decks are literally an elaborate coinflip. They are the worst kind of deck to play against. The player literally gives no shits what your doing. They mulligan until they hit treasure hunt, if they keep a hand you know exactly what kind of clock you are on. Either you can disrupt the combo and instantly win the game, or you have no answer and instantly lose. At this point why are we even playing magic the gathering? A game of rock paper scissors would provide the same kind of gratification as a treasure hunt deck brings to the table.
