Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Again here's shout out to Shifting Shapes who had the orginal idea for deck using Grapeshot for the kill. Check it out at http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=65185 and let the world know you like it.

How to play

1. Mulligan till you have Glimpse of Nature and a Elvish Spirit Guide.
2. Cast Glimpse of Nature and then cast and draw a bunch of creatures until you have both Atog and Reckless Charge in hand and hopefully and 1RR mana availible thru Lotus Petal and Spirit Guides.
3. Cast Atog then Reckless Charge and Mob Mentality then have Atog Gobble a bunch of artifact creatures and attack for win. Hopefully Street Wraith's will help you draw over any bumps in the road.

Deck discussion for 1st Turn Kill Atog

not so bad in theory.... but i gotta say taking mulligans to get those 2 cards would be difficult and ultimately fatal in a match against a fast opponent.

I think you meant Reckless Charge, not Reckless Abandon.

Maybe use Memnite instead of Shifting Wall or Phyrexian Marauder so that Atog has more stuff to sacrifice, just in case.

superwill21.

You of course are correct. Don't know why I imported Reckless Abandon. I will fix deck list.

MTG Card search says its legal in Legacy and Classic, but restricted in Vintage.

Nice idea, but there's a card I like to use against this type of deck - Holy Day (or any of the equivalents {Fog, Ethereal Haze, Darkness, etc}) :p

Yup. This is a very fragile deck. I just take it out for the fun of casting 50 creatures in one turn

you could put in some Serum Powders in to get over the mulligan problems, but its gunna take out a lot of cards in your deck. good fun with atog though :) always loved that card

Conceptually, it's okay. But i'd wreck it with my burn/counter deck. you wouldn't get your desired hand immediately and also, atog would meet it's demise before it resolved.

congratulations for saying a certain type of deck is weak to a certain type of deck, you just covered 100% of all decks ever.

Hi jarretbeast97,

Took a look at your tendrils/ad nauseum deck. Most of the comments already there were saying what I would of suggested and turned it into more like the orginal tourney winning ANT deck. So instead of commenting on your deck let me just suggest that when borrowing an deck idea from someone for a deck it would nice if you give credit.
