Use annoying cards like Relic Bane, Pillory of the Sleepless, Blazing Archon, and Arrest to halt your oppenent's advances while draining their life. Give yourself some added protection with things to destroy their creatures such as Reiver Demon and Hex, and also give them less incentive to attack with things like Hissing Miasma and Souls of the Faultless.
