I have a soft spot for Tempest, and I love Eladamri. I just recently got into EDH and figured that this cool elf would make for a flavorful and effective commander. I also chose mono green because having recently dumped a hefty sum of money into a couple of competitive modern decks, I was looking to go as light on the wallet as I could. I know the presence of Gaea's Cradle seems a contradiction, but I had been wanting the card for some time and managed to get it solely from trade fodder. This is my first EDH deck and I could really use and would really appreciate any advice, tips, comments, criticisms, etc. HELP! Please and thank you.
Pretty self explanatory. Elves is elves. Umbral Mantel and Sword of the Paruns help produce infinite mana when attached to a number of different elves in the deck. Kamahl, Caller of the Claw, and Eldrazi Monument all help deal with board wipes (a definite weakness). There's quite a bit of draw power and plenty of ways to fetch most anything you need (as long as what you need is a creature, ha). But seriously, plenty of fetchable non-creature permanent destruction. There's a good few mana dumps to use too. Nothing more frustrating than a bunch of elf mana and no place to use it. Eladamri's shroud is great, and although it can get in the way sometimes, he comes and goes rather easily and can be planned around accordingly. My favorite aspect of him is actually the reliable forestwalk. Unblockable monstrously buffed elves are nothing to scoff at.All in all it puts the pressure on quickly, and as long as there aren't consistent board wipes it's pretty hard to slow down.Again, I'm new to this neck of the MTG woods and would be very grateful for any advice. Thanks for checking it out!
