there are 10 w/g creatures in here (there were actually 9 when you commented, but i added another pridemage). you forgot about the pridemages. i could see how 4 shields could possibly be too many, but they've been working out really well for me so far.

you forgot about the spellskites in regards to doran. a 2 mana 4/4 with that ability isn't a bad deal. and most importantly, doran is very often a turn 2 drop. i don't see how he's contributing to any lack of speed. a 5/5 on turn 2 seems pretty good to me, especially when i can throw a shield on him the next turn. yeah he gives those guys a boost, but he's just fine by himself. i can fetch him easy, and murmuring bosk has sick mana coverage.

i get what you're saying about the dungroves and knights, makes sense. i just like the hexproof and being able to fetch it. i'll look for an alternative to dungrove.

i have gaddock side-decked, i dunno if you saw that. do you think i should main deck him? he seems kinda situational.

i side-decked the surgical extractions and added an inquisition of kozilek and a pridemage.

the only problem i've been having is i have too many birds and noble hierarchs right now, so as seth said on the forums, it fizzles mid-game sometimes. the reason i have so many atm is that i need the mana spread, because i don't have my shock lands yet. once i do i feel like that problem will be resolved. i'll probably sack the birds.

so i can't agree with everything, but the dungrove's needing to go seems to be the consensus.
again, do y'all think i should main deck gaddock?

Nice! Didn't consider the oracle. In a modern format do you find this deck fast enough to compete? I was having problems getting mine up and running quickly. I'm about to check out your zombie deck, would you mind giving my new doran deck a once over?

This deck was my repsonse to the disappointment of my tribal treefolk being just a little too slow. I tried so hard! Check it out please, I could use any tips or suggestions

those sample hands are lookin good. i can't wait for those cards to come in the mail. has anyone here used mtgfanatic? if so did you have good luck with them? i've bought everything else from abugames and had great luck, but elspeth was way cheaper at $25 nm/m (got the last one, atm) from mtgfanatic, so i ordered her from there. just wondering.

i went ahead and ordered an elspeth. hasn't come in yet so i haven't had a chance to try it out. but since i threw a plains in there to fetch with my sakura-tribe elders, and since i added another doran, i figured i'd try a couple of indomitable ancients. i took the 2 chameleon colossus out to make room for the ancients, but put them in my sideboard since they're nice to have against black.

i also ordered a few spellskites to put in my sideboard. figured they'd come in handy, and doran makes em pretty sick for 2 mana. we'll see how it goes once they all get here. i have a tourny coming up on the 6th. i may change it up if it doesn't run smoothly.

cool! what would you change about this one? yeah, i'd love to run those lands, and probably will eventually, i just don't have the dough for em at the moment. I wouldn't mind having an elspeth either, although that third ability isn't of much use to me.

I've had fantastic luck with this deck. Seems to run a little smoother than the other Treefolk decks out there. The side deck is still kind of a work in progress.

Turn 2 Dorans and Dungrove Elders, and most importantly, turn 3 Leaf-Crowned Elder. A lot of other 4 mana guys that are easy to get out by turn 3 if you can't manage to get ahold of a Leaf-Crowned Elder by then. Birds of paradise cover my ass from early game fliers (Glaze Fiend and the like), and between them, Murmuring Bosk, and Sakura Tribe Elders (which are shamans, btw), it's easy to get the other colored mana I need.

Maelstrom Pulse and the Woodfall Primus (easy to pull with Harbingers, easy to play with LCE) normally get rid of whatever needs getting rid of, and if they're not handling it, got plenty of removal in the sideboard.

The Harbingers are nice to champion with the Unstoppable Ashes.

Dauntless Dourbarks can give huge life with the Orchard Wardens.

Liliana (easy to play by turn 4) works well with the Leaf-Crowned Elders, and it's nice to give the opponent multiple kinds of threats to worry about.

You get the picture. Any ideas, tips, advice, or comments in general are welcome.
