Interesting idea, but the high mana cost for Death Denied concerns me. Most of the creatures I'll be sacing will either be Bloodghasts with landfall to come back into play or other creatures that I simply don't need. For the few that may go in that I want back, I have cheap Disentombs and a Soul Stair Expedition. I need to play the deck more with the changes I made recently, so I still may look into Death Denied if I think I need some more creature retrieval. Thanks!

Well since you're at only 50 cards, I'd suggest adding a few: 4x Dragonmaster Outcast 2x Terramorphic Expanse 2x Scute Mob 4x Rampant Growth 4x Canopy Cover 2x Giant Growth And remove: 4x Kitchen Finks 4x Briarhorn This should bring it up to 60 cards, and the mana acceleration, Dragonmaster/Scute Mob, and Canopy Cover combo work out so you can just roll over them with big Scute Mobs and lots of dragon fliers. The Giant Growths are to prevent your important 1/1s from getting lightningbolted before you get Canopy Cover on them.
I'm a little confused about the inclusion of Abyssal Persecutor. He's a great card, but that's a creature that you're going to have to sac at some point, meaning you'll have to use some of your removal on yourself. He's much more effective when paired with a card that gives control of him to your opponent (Bazaar Trader). Have you considered a deck using Abyssal Persecutor, Bazaar Trader, and Canopy Cover? Give Abyssal Persecutor a Canopy Cover, then use Bazaar Trader to give him to your opponent. Since he can't be targeted by spells your opponent controls, your opponent will have a hard time getting rid of it unless he finds a way to sac it or clears the board with a Planar Cleansing or something similar.
^Agreed. A good blue control deck could make effective use of Blade of the Bloodchief difficult unless you start killing your own creatures. It does have lots of removal, but it's dependent upon your opponent blindly putting out creatures for you to kill. But if he won a lot with this deck as-is... then who am I to argue with his success? lol
Btw, if you wouldn't mind taking a look at my Vampire deck and giving me your thoughts, that would be great. Vampire decks are dime-a-dozen right now because of Worldwake and Zendikar, so I'm not exactly original lol... but I think I've got a good, fun deck for casual and extended tourney play.
Yeah, it definitely needs to be cut down a bit. When I first saw the total card count, I thought this deck was going to totally suck... but when I looked through the cards, it seems like you've got a pretty good strategy running that has a good focus. I do question having 4 blue spells and only 3 blue lands in the deck... same with the green. But if you play-test it and it works, then hey, go for it. I'd suggest taking out the Festering Goblins and the 2 Korlashs. I like the Soulless Ones in this deck. I know the last thing you want is more cards, but I'd suggest making room for 4 Quest for the Gravelord. Aside from that, I don't really know what I'd want to take out of that deck either. I guess you're just gonna have to play it and see what works well and what doesn't.
