Blood Moon control deck. Mogis is a great clock and it is hard to get rid of if he is not a creature. A single Demigod of Revenge gets enough devotion for Mogis. It is a cheap deck considering, but definitely not "budget" as it is aimed to be as competitive as possible. All comments are welcome. I'd love to hear your ideas.Title Translation: "A bull in love with the moon" it is a quote from a famous spanish song made popular by the Gypsy Kings and many others.
Basically the deck runs around Blood Moon, which in the current modern meta wrecks many decks and messes a lot with others. It runs a BR control shell (Thoughtseize, Lightning Bolt, Terminate, Blightning, etc...) to play with it.Basic win condition is Demigod of Revenge who can deal tons of damage in a few turns, as well as being good vs counters and has evasion. (Demigod alone powers Mogis' devotion).Single 1 off's like Master of Cruelties and Grim Lavamancer are there for alternate win conditions as well as being good on their own. Master's First Strike/Deathtouch abilities make him an excellent blocker and forces trades when attacking an opponent. Grim Lavamancer just gives you reach and a nice removal tool to reuse your graveyard.Vampire Nighthawk is an excellent all rounded creature in control decks, as it usually eats up a removal or he can block any creature for a nice trade, lifelink is just the cherry on the cake.Olivia Voldaren works similar granting you with another flyer who can deal targeted damage, pumps herself up, and can steal in a few scenarios, creatures from your opponent. The sideboard is in testing phase, but is pretty general sideboard vs current modern meta. Rakdos Charm probably has the best value of a modern sideboard card as it works well vs many matchups due to it's flexibility, low cost, and instant speed.
