Deck Description

Ladies Knights is based on an angel deck I built that was modern all rare mono white.
The idea is to provide indestructible Knights with global destruction that scale well through the game, it is fast and first/double strike will give you the advantage until you start pumping those ladies knights (half of the knights are ladies) with Honor of the Pure and the Knight Exemplars.

Ladies Knights provide a safe Sideboard to provide counters to most decks in the current Modern metagame.

How to Play

The first turn drop is Student of Warfare, so lets hope it is in your opening hand, it is a pretty solid first drop as it can swing for 3 with first strike on second turn by its own, and can hold the line for long if you need time.

Your other one mana option is Silence, and it is a pretty powerful spell. It can buy you a turn vs extremely fast aggro or tempo decks to put you on terms with them, don't hesitate to use it offensively if you smell something fishy while swinging for lethal damage. If you got two on your opening hand, you can shut down||| someone and totally screw their ramp and aggro.

Your second turn/mana drops are Knight of the White Orchid, who plays well when your opponent started, as you can play him for 2, go fetch the land and play your turn land giving you an advantage, in any other case it will not let you fall behind your opponent in mana. The other one is Honor of the Pure who will pump your creatures for a 3rd turn strike.

All your heavy hitters come in mid range 3 mana form, including your essential Knight Exemplar, once she's down don't be afraid to start attacking like there is no tomorrow, Mirran Crusader and Silverblade Paladin will wreck the battlefield with the Double Strike. Remember Silverblade Paladin gives double strike to another knight as well.

Once you hit 4 mana, you can play everything in your power, from Hero of Bladehold and Elspeth for pumped token aggro, and of course your Day of Judgement to swing with your indestructible Ladies Knights FTW!

Austere Command is pretty versatile and lets you get rid of either artifacts or enchantments or destroy every mana heavy creature out there so your low mana cost knights keep reigning the battlefield if they don't happen to be indestructible, or works as a secondary mass destruction.

The sideboard works as follows:
* Basilisk Collar replaces Silence vs Aggro non Tempo decks. With the amount of First Strike your Knights have, they are unkillable and can block anything. Usually played at turn 3 or as a first drop (Tarmogoyf? no problem)
* Stony Silence, Rest in Peace, and Mark of the Asylum, replaces Honor of the Pure. *Stony Silence vs Affinity and Tron (Grab Austere Command too replacing 2 Hero's of Bladehold or 2 Day of Judgement)
* Rest in Peace should be played vs Combo, Dredge, Reanimator.
* Mark of the Asylum if you expect lots of burn spells, with just 2 or 3 Toughness they can Lightning Bolt/Helix your knights fast, a timed turn 2 Mark gets rid of all of that.
* Leyline of Sanctity vs Direct Burn/Discard control. They replace anything depending on the speed of the opponents deck. You are just hoping to get one in your opening hand.

Long games are usually bad for mid range aggro decks, but thanks to Emeria, you can get back fully loaded in those.

Thanks for the comment, I already liked your deck, although it seems to me it's well tuned and consistent.
On the other hand, Thalia is not a Knight, so the tribal synergy is lost, and she slows you down when trying to drop an Elspeth or wipe the board at turn 4, which can be critical.

Linvala is amazing, but I have seen there is no much need for her in general except some specific decks, that is why she is on sideboard, your enemy should be blocking from turn 2 (and letting their creatures die due to first strike) or face getting lethal damage by turn 5.

I really love this deck, I wouldn't change a thing, however a fun knight I would try to squeeze into your sideboard, is Knight of the Holy Nimbus. And for the naming of the deck, why aren't you running Ladies' Knight?! (it's a hilarious unhinged card if you didn't know)

:D Yeah I know of "Ladies' Knight" it is partially where I got the idea of the name (and the fact that there are ladies which are knights XP)

It cost me a lot to put the deck together, cause I had myself put this restriction that I would only use rare cards (or mythic rare), and new cards (new card format print at least). It was a pain to select the correct cards to work together cause there aren't many options in rare only (for example, single target removal does not exist in rare white -.-), but after months of testing and getting the cards and building the deck, I can say it works wonders vs today's modern meta decks.

Glad u like it :D

That's an interesting restriction of purely rare cards, I might have to look into a burn version of that. And curious, how accurately would you say the pricing that this site gives versus how much you actually spent to build this deck?

Hmmm I did a lot of trading over the time I built this deck, but I would say for this one specially it would be between the average and the high prices of this site like in the middle of both.
