Had a bit of an epiphany, I guess you would call it, after stumbling upon Elixir of Immortality while building another deck. This is my first official build, so please comment and make suggestions! :D Could possibly add some Voltaic Keys to keep the Scepters doing their jobs, but I'd like to try and keep it to a maximum of 50 cards :)

Hey, sorry for the late reply, I didn't check my forum notifications for a while :3 Library of Lat-Nam is a bit expensive. It's a very good card, but I'd recommend Preordain over it for two reasons. You can cast it on your first turn, and you can imprint it onto Isochron Scepter. Preordain (or in some builds, Brainstorm) is the pinnacle of blue card draw, it is just so damn good! -2 Cancel, +2 Counterspell. Also, you'd be doing yourself a favor to run Boomerang or Disperse. I prefer Boomerang myself, because it allows you to return lands to their owners hand. I don't know when you've built this but since New Phyrexia came out, but instead of Voltaic Key, how about Unwinding Clock? What you do is, run 4x Seat of the Synod, 4x Great Furnace, and 4x Darksteel Citadel (or just Citadel and 1x or 2x of each of the colored lands if you expect much artifact hate), then you have up to 12 (or 4-8, if you run fewer of the colored lands) mana that untaps during your opponents upkeep, allowing you to reuse Iso. Now remember when I suggested Boomerang? Well, if you do this, you can also bounce one of your lands or other artifacts if/when it becomes targeted by destruction. Also... You said you'd like to keep the deck at 50 cards.. what is the idea behind a 40 card deck? Is there a 40 card casual format I don't know about.. or?? I see 40 card decks from time to time, but outside of limited I've only known there to be 60 card decks so that's why I ask.
