Deck Description

I saw Gelectrode and thought "how nice for a burn deck." Then I thought why let a burn deck have all the fun, after all, Gelectrode does require blue. After sifting through my cards for a few hours I found Kiln Fiend, Wee Dragnauts and a host of 1-2 mana instants and sorcery cards. I play tested a few different versions and noticed how well the 1 mana, do something, and draw a card, spells worked and how fast they fueled my three creatures. This is the result of following up on this idea. Very fun, great control for clearing the board, and lots of draw. Comments are welcome.

Interesting looking deck and very cheap to build. I have a few suggestions for you. The 1st is that visions of beyond seems like a bad card in this deck. It is really only good in mill and even though you will be putting a lot of cards into your graveyard it will be a long time before you will get to use it. Get rid of it and Index and replace them with Gitaxian Probe.

Also this deck really needs 4 Distortion Strike. Its better than infiltrate and because of rebound you get to cast it again next turn for free.

You may also like Halimar depths if you are removing Index.

Take a look at my version of this type of deck if you like.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will make some changes in a few days when I get a chance to go to the card shop. I appreciate the help.
