Magic is all about wizards right? Lets take a look how this fine group of wizards fair. This deck is more to show how gameplay should be fun while occasionally befuddling an opponent for some respect.
A wizard will need a large mana pool to caste powerful spell combos. Priority is to get mana in play while keeping the opponents spells bouncing to the top of their library, thus limiting their available mana draw with Lapse of certainty, Excommunicate, and Time ebb. The Tome scours are creative removal to discard cards sent to top of library. Sleight of hand to search for mana early game to ensure mana drop each turn. Keep playing the spells then use Archaeomancer to bring back cards to combo with each draw.Temporal fissure is the special feature of this deck. It is possible to bounce a large number of permanents, including lands. With 12 mana, can do Sleight of hand, excommunicate, Tome scour, Temporal fissure, Twin cast to bounce 9 permanents.Resist the urge to use Reckless scholar to cycle your own lands, and see if an opponent is willing to cycle theirs. Aether tradewinds can also bounce the few lands they were fortunate to draw. Serenbib sorcerer will make your wizards champions at removing a big attacker. Captain's call is the win condition to eventually summon enough token soldiers to win on the battlefield.Sideboard allows two options. Sub-in more enchantments to build a Pillow Fort, making them pay high amounts of mana just to send one attacker. Sub in the Simic manipulator, Ovinize, and Persuasion to gain control creatures on the battlefield. The longer you can live, the more fun you will have while creating a challenging game of wits. Just what MTG is all about in my opinion.
