Lands Lands Lands! Genju of the realm as a house rule variant commander otherwise for stringent groups run child of alara.
Ramp and find valuable keyword soup lands. (inkmoth, celestial, needle spires, etc). get protection cards to keep the big land out (sterling grove, Terra eternal)hit em hard and fast. Some notes: When running Genju of the Realm as commander. -The land is dealing the damage is not Genju of the Realm. It is a legendary 8/12 Spirit. It does not share your commander's name. Therefore unless the enchantment can somehow deal damage to a player, You will not win through commander damage. - When a land becomes a creature with keywords (i.e Inkmoth nexus) It will turn into a 1/1 with flying and infect. If you activate a different change (I.E Genju of the Realm) it will Become and 8/12 Trample, Flying, Infect. This is because these effects only set power and toughness and are not replacement effects . Abilities added are not removed until end of turn. +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters are not effected. Notable uses of this include using Genju of the field's ability is also nonredundant and will get X instances of the ability depending on the number of times it is activate. Win Cons-Huge Genju of the realms damage. ( awaken the vitu Ghazi, Needle Spires, Genju Etc etc.)- Infect Genju/ Inkmoth ( Infect damage works well for high lifetotal or otherwise unkillable opponents. - general threats on board.
