Deck Description

Just trying something a bit different with a Blade deck. I played against a WGB blade deck the other day and decided to throw one together to see how it works. I'm having fun with it. Fauna Shaman's help me either get SFM if I hadn't gotten one yet, or Nighthawks. In this version I use the Squadron Hawks to just discard for the Shaman. I can also fetch the Slime if I'm facing another Blade deck. It seems to work pretty good. I'm thinking about putting 2 Vengevines in place of 2 Squadron Hawks, but I don't really want to buy them since they will be rotating soon. Anyways, as always, I would love suggestions. Thanks.

6-14-11 Swapped out a Nighthawk for Wurmcoil Engine. Wanted to try at least 1 bomb.

Deck discussion for Death-Blade

If you have them I would add a few Verdant Catacombs into the deck for some fetches, and maybe some Marsh Flats aswell. It'll help thin the deck a bit for your draws. Just one concept to look into, aswell, you could sideboard Kor Sanctifiers for enchantment control, cheaper than the slime but they can help.

Thanks for the tips. I've been debating some fetch lands, but they are kinda like Vengevine. Not sure if I want to drop the money for them, to only be able to play with them for a couple months. That's a good idea about the Kor Sanctifiers. I haven't put a SB together yet. I'll concider him as a 1-of. I'm really loving how with SFM's I can have 1-of equipments, and with the Shaman's I can have 1-of creatures. Makes SBing for different threats alot easier. Also, Batterskull will eventually find it's way into the deck, as soon as I get one. Thanks again for the help.

fetch lands are kinda necessary for 3 colors imo.

also definitly phyrexian crusader or war and peace side boarded. playing the protection game is your strongest win potential. fauna makes it way more viable. i like the green splash.

instead of sanctifier you could run sylvok replicas. they actually play if your running green. and beast within over geth's verdict maybe, i really like that card for green. also i'd drop down to 3 stoneforge's imo. really cool build though.

Ya, I'm finding that it's hard to have consistant mana without the fetches. I'm also thinking that with Beast Within's I may have enough removal that I don't actually even need Black in the deck at all. I just think I have way better SB options if I keep black in the deck. I was also thinking of throwing the Geth's Verdicts in the SB and just using GFTT. I might also be able to get away with only 3 SFM's with the Shaman's. The only thing about that though, is that I would rather draw a Mystic, than a Shaman. I don't know. I'll try it out a few different ways tonight.
