White/Black Life Gain Decksideboard suggestions welcome
Make Tokens.Gain Life.Win.

Congregate may suit you better than Alive // Well. You gain 2 life for EACH creature on the battlefield with Congregate, while Alive // Well only benefits from creatures you control. Then, you can take out Temple of Plenty, and you can put in more token makers. May I suggest Army of the Damned? It makes 13 2/2 Zombie tokens, using into Congregate can mean a lot of life for you. Only downside is it' an 8-drop, but it has Flashback for 9.

Congregate costs 3 more mana though and Temple of plenty is only in for the scry. Scrying is soooo good right now. Being able to stack the deck how you want it is OP.BUt thanks for the suggestion
scry lands are only playable in standard. there are too many better options for mana bases in modern that an upgraded guildgate is obsolete before it hits the ground. If you NEED to scry, you can add Viscera Seer as a sac outlet to dump some tokens into for it, and not have to worry about your mana base being clunky.
Ok, i see your point. Scrying is more of a standard thing...
not exactly. scrying is a very powerful tool, and you are in colors that dont allow for things like Serum Visions and Condescend, but sacrificing your mana base to scry just isnt as good in modern as it is in standard. shock lands and buddy lands. maybe even the on color man lands are where you want to be. I could see Read the Bones being decent for the scry/draw effect here
I personally don't like Ajani's Mantra because it is way too slow. Try Hero's Reunion in its place.
why not playing soul warden ?
good idea.
Yeah as previously suggested, take out Alive/Well and Ajani's Mantra. Replace them with Congregate and more token producers. I would also suggest you take out Brave The Elements and put in Rootborn Defences to go along with those token producers. Overall though, I really like the concept of your deck; seems like it would be fun/competitive.
Why would i take out Brave the Elements? It protects all my creatures.
Rootborn Defenses makes all of your creatures indestructible and populates.
brave the elements only costs 1, which is relevant in a deck that has to tap out every turn to play creatures.
I feel like Wake the Reflections won't do much for you in here, since it will only copy a 1/1 or a 2/2 at best.Mainboarding Angelic Accord would make Wake way better. If you want another 1 drop option instead there is another creature similar to Soul Warden, I cannot think of its name though atm.Looking at your high amount of one drops you could also afford to put in some cards with higher cmc.
Soul's attendant and Essence Warder are both the same creature as Soul Warden
Soul's Attendant was the one I was looking for, thanks. Essence Warden is green though ;)
Add Necromancer's Covenant to give you grave-hate and all those lovely zombies lifelink
just my two cents, but the archangel of thune might find a nice home here, if you can find something to take out for it. otherwise, it seems like a very solid deck. nice job.
Maybe some marsh flats to speed the deck up slightly? They are hyped a lot but they stop you drawing a land you dont want.
I'd add some Godless Shrine, Ajani's Pridemate and Archangel of Thune
Needs lingering souls and spectral possesion. Hero of bladehold and intangible virtue are other things. There's a ton of cards like army of the damned that are way too expensive for this deck. You should also run hand disruption if you are playing black because as of now you fold to any combo deck in the format. Please look at my deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/chronoexe/decks/uw-tron/
Also, if you're looking to pump creatures too, you can use Sunbond. It just came out in BTG. If you don't know what it does, it's an Aura that has "When you gain life, put that many +1/+1 counters on enchanted creature". I find it to be pretty powerful.
NICE DECK DUDE NICE NICE I HAVE ONE TOKEN DECK BUT IS GREEN AND I HAVE OVERRUN ALL CREATURES GETS +3/+3 END OF TURN!!...i like dude but my deck is land destruction , YOU DONT NEED LANDS..:)) like like congrats to your deck
Hey, I have a new deck with a similar concept. If any one is interested: http://www.mtgvault.com/s0rinmark0v/decks/bittersweet-blossom/
Felidar sovereign would make a nice secondary win condition.
not really, with bitterblossom bleeding you every turn, it makes it tough to get the numbers up too high
Elspeth + Soul's + Lifelink creatures = more than enough life
