Brushland, battlefield forge and karplusan forest are called pain lands they are all cheap and will allow you to have untapped lands, they do however cost a life when to tap them for colored mana. With that said I would replace 4 of your lands with these pain lands. It will make you just a. Touch faster
Other then that I like the deck

I love a good masochist they are more fun.
If you do use shocks and pain lands I would drop an armada wurm for a thragtusk

I personally would drop the painlands and up the shock amount to full, the 2 life is only once, and you can put it into play tapped if you wont have any plays that turn, with that said, fetches are an idea because you can sac them at the end of your opponents turn and then are only dealing yourself one damage, one time, something the life gain from Thragtusk will offset.

The refuges are ok, but they aren't great, if your running shocks, replacing them with M10/Innistrad cycle dual lands might be more efficient, since they should be coming in untapped off your shock lands unless your having bad luck.

last but not least, throwing Rupture Spire in as a 2 of could be beneficial just because it can tap for any of the three your color,

Considering how much life you're looking to gain from effects, have you considered replacing your Refuge lands with Shocklands? It would help speed up your deck by letting you play your mana dorks on turns one and two.

Shock Lands would be good.

While talking abou lands: consider a few basics (at least 1 forest) so you can do something about Blood Moon and have something to find when opponent Path to Exiles or Ghost Quarters you.
Also man lands would be awesome: Stirring Wildwood and Raging Ravine. They dont die to wrath and are quite powerfull.

Maybe Cliffrunner Behemoth over Obstinate Baloth, since it can be summoned by Mayael and can potentially gain a lot more then 4 life.

So I tested the deck, and I have to agree with luttersign. This deck is only a bunch of creatures, and it is very prone to control cards. I would definately add some creature protection, and possibly a bit of draw. Other than that, the deck went ok.

I think its a fun idea, but if your hoping to win with this deck you'll have to add either the board control, protect creatures spells, or card drawing. Otherwise you're just playing an agro deck that can't handle or recover from the smallest problem... like when your opponent plays Worship, Platinum Angle, or Spike Weaver. The most common problem for this deck will be card drawing/ card advantage... like getting four of your cards wiped by just one of your opponents. Supreme Verdict, for example is in a lot Modern decklist. Don't get me wrong, I think this deck is cool and looks fun but I would recommend the following. Go with six spells in your main deck that handle permanents. These can be creature spells but they need to have the ability to remove enchantments, artifacts, or enemy creatures. I bet Qasili Pridemage (or however you spell it) would be a great boon when your opponent plays birthing pod. ANYWAY... that's what sideboards are for right? Goodluck and don't get caught flatfooted;)

You definitelly want to have sideboard and Qasali Pridemage is obvious choice. Also Gaddock is ridiculously good in dealing with controls. No worries abou that supreme verdict. :-)

14 mana ramp creatures is way too much. Lands are less vulnarable. You should play like 24 lands(+4), 8 mana-ramp creatures and 2 more big guys instead (pelakka wurm maybe?). I am not sure about mana land-enchantments, they are good in triggering Cliftrunner Behemoth.
Also Spark Trooper probably isn't a good idea, he builds you no board presence, you can run 2 more Cliffrunner Behemoth, 1 more Spellbreaker Behemoth and 1 more Woolly Thoctar - these 3 are much better, run them in playsets. Or if you want, you can run (for 4 mana) Huntmasters of the Fells or Sublime Archangel could be good with a lot of small mana-dudes, they are not awesome with mayael, but still.

With these small tweaks its gonna be a nice deck. Also anyone can look at my Naya deck, its quite different and "a bit" more expensive, but very deadly http://www.mtgvault.com/zipec/decks/rgw-naya-midrange-modern/

Suggestion: Why don't you put in Godsire? Is a excelent 8/8 with vigilance that can produce 8/8 tokens.

I really like your deck and agree with the comments above, which I think if anything are good sideboard ideas for the time being. Cards that I would suggest looking into are meglonoth, titanic ultimatum, and land-wise try to run arid mesa to help bring out lands quicker and untapped, which I think would a much needed advantage with this setup. Other than, solid deck!

Just looking over the deck, I think you might want to put some 5+ power creatures in the deck that have a cmc of higher than 6, you have options so that ones that end up in your hand can be played obviously, but if everything that has a 5/X power has cmc of less than 6, you aren't getting full benefit of Mayael's ability.

Options: x1 Progenitus 10/10 this card is only a one of because though you have nuts mana production, you just can't hard cast him with his colour range, so he will only get played via ability.
X1 Worldspine Wurm 15/15 that gets cheated into play? yes please
X1 Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, 11/11, honestly, this guy is a win con all his own
