Deck Description

A deck made up almost entirely of arcbounds. Arcbounds have an amazing property called modular where they get an number of +1/+1 counters and they give them to another artifact creature when they go to the graveyard. I also have lots of other artifacts in the deck also designed along the +1/+1 counter artifact theme. What is cool is that the +1/+1 counters never leave the field, Please comment. If you like it then, well... like it. Thanks.

Update #1: I replaced Mycosynth Golem with Wurmcoil Engine so the +1/+1 counters on my Arcbounds survive after a board sweep or a destroy all artifacts card. I also replaced Kalhni Garden with two Islands because I have no idea what they werein there for in the first place.

I was thinking about adding several Time Spirals (in sideboard) to this deck so that I can cycle cards faster. Do you think I should? Are there any better cards for my purpose than Time Spiral? If I should put it in what shouldi get rid of?

Update #2: I added Walking Archive instead of Time Spiral and deleted two Arcbound Overseers and one Arcbound Fiend. I kept one Arcbound Fiend because it might be useful in a situation where the opponent has lots of high toughness creatures so that I can get around them.

If you want to play it in Modern then take out the Sol Rings and put in 2 Mycosynth Golems and 2 Islands.

Deck discussion for Arcbounds Abound

I'd add fabricates since you're using artifacts. That way you get the ones you need.

If you have time, check out my newest deck called Faerie Chemistrickery

I'm not sure that I'm going to be looking to draw a specific artifact at any point in the game. If I were it would be a very useful card. If you liked this deck please check out my other deck.. Effective Elves at http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=410238. Thanks for taking a look at my deck.

I like the theme you're going for. I construct decks in a similar way. But you have to keep in mind, a deck so heavily dependent on artifact creatures leaves you wide open to things like Creeping Corrosion. I also have and Arcbound themed deck you might like. Feel free to check it out!

Thanks for the advice I'll check it out. I think I'll try to do something with hex proof because if all my arcbounds get killed then I can transfer all my counters to the creature with hexproof. Thanks.

Never mind I just realized that hexproof and shroud wont protect any creatures from that. Do you have a suggestions for fixing that "little" problem? Does anybody?

Only two things I can suggest: Darksteel Forge or Elspeth, Knight-Errant

It's okay I added wurmcoil engine for that. As soon as the creatures with modular leave the field I can put their counters on the tokens it leaves behind.

Slag fiend is a good option. Wouldn't be killed off with creeping corrosion and all those artifacts going to the graveyard only boosts his P/T! And with primordial hydra + liquimetal coating you can turn it into an artifact and have all those counters go to him. Not necessarily an instant fix but a way around losing everyone. Drop some of the higher CMC Arcbound creatures and from a couple of each in and you gonna have some beastly creatures.

Thanks for the ideas, but I figure wurmcoil engine will leave artifact creatures behind for me to put the counters from the arcbounds on.

Interesting deck. I like the idea of it, however in place of, say, 2 Walking Archive (or if you need the draws, you may drop 1 Arcbound Worker and 1 Arcbound Stinger) go for Lux Cannon. You have proliferation through Contagion Engine and Energy Chamber. Lux Cannon would indefinitely remove any pesky permanents your opponent brings out.

Rather cheap too.

Hell, Lux Cannon is so powerful I'm considering building an entire deck around a play set of Lux Cannon and blue/red or blue/black proliferation...

i like the cocept that your working on but have you considered running cloudpost to help with some of the high mana costs of your bigger creatures??

If I do run cloud post what are other locuses that I could put in to increase the output?
