Deck Description

Koth seems like an insane card, so making a RDW style deck revolving around him. I think I could make this a tourney quality deck. And yes, I know Kargan is a good card for a Koth deck, but I didn't think it had much synergy with any other card besides Koth in this one.

As I finish this I feel like I probably forgot some excellent card for this deck...so before you down rate the deck just tell me what card you're thinking about adding and you'll most likely be right.

Edit: Well most of ya seem to think that Kargan Dragonlord should be in here (and I do like the card a lot), so decided to actually put in some.

I play the Comet Storms just because it's a nice mana dumb (yes, I know I also have Fireballs) and it's pretty insane in Two Headed Giant. I play a lot with a friend of mine (MTGO) so they fit in nicely.

It actually looks pretty decent to me, though I'm not sure you need eight fireball effects. Granted it is a 9 point fireball by turn 5 so their should be some in there, but eight seems like too many. I hadn't thought about the dragon lord, but you are right. He would be really good here. If you're just looking for extra stuff to do with all the access mana Koth can generate, I was concidering building a red deck around Koth+Kozilek. Turn 5 Kozilek can be brutal and not just because of the Eldrazi...in a deck this packed with burn, the 4 cards refuel your hand regardless of what happens to the creature. But I've never been one for the straight RDW answer. I'd say do some play testing with it and see what happens. It looks pretty close to the idea I was going to go with. I'd run 4X Fireball, 1 Comet Storm, 2 Kozilek, and one other mountain. 22 lands seems light if you want to make sure you hit your forth land drop on time. If you don't like the Kozilek idea, I'd say go ahead and run a couple of dragon lords in his place.

I know Valakut looks like it makes sense in a red deck, but without any ramp or land fetching its ability is not that great. It also does not synergize with Koth very well, as all three of his abilities use basic mountains. And I would use Kargan Dragonlord just because of its power level, i mean you kind of have a goblin thing going, but Bushwacker seems like dead card, when half your creatures have haste already. The +1/+0 is good, but it looks like you are just going to Koth>Comet storm for the finish anyway.

And yes, a mana dump (not a mana dumb).
