Deck Description

This deck is based on creatures as resources, as sacrificial components for a number of effects. No creature is too important and no creature is useless.

The effects of the creatures are not made to last - rather, what you do with them is what matters. Playing with life and death is the key.

How to Play

The deck is based on the use of creatures in order to stall the adversary's play and boost your own, with the help of effects of killing your own creatures and those of the opponent.

The backbone of the deck are the small creatures, like Doomed Traveler and the tokens generated by Beckon Apparition - upon their death, which hopefully was already triggered with bonus effects by Altar's Reap, for instance, more effects are generated.

Fallen Ideal is the one card most likely to deliver your victory. Combining it with Doomed Traveler and/or Angelic Renewal results in huge boosts of attack for a creature of yours, which, if it's the case, can also be sacrificed with no hard feelings, for Fallen Ideal returns to your hand swiftly.

Deck discussion for Blackburn Rovers

i wouldn't play this deck for sacrifice. Where you trying to make it cheap? There is much more better cards to run better sacrifice combos. Have a look at mine.

I took a look at it and got some ideas. Thanks! Solemn Simulacrum would be a great addition indeed.

But I must disagree with you. This is not a deck for sacrifice. This is an aggro deck that uses death - but not sacrificing, specifically - as an engine. If I wanted a truly sacrificial deck, I'd have used Mortician Beetle, Carrion Feeder, Necratog or something of the kind. The main point of the deck is to use creatures as resources, never giving one of them too much importance, as it may die at any instant.

Amazing deck, I would run at least 3 teysa because of all the synergy in the deck. Also Stir the Grave instead of Angelic Renewal since your creatures CMC are really low.

Thanks for the feedback~!

I've been considering 3 Teysa for quite some time now. Indeed, she's an engine within herself and, alongside Doomed Traveler, she's a beast. Seeing as a second opinion reinforces this thought, I'll think it through carefully. As for Stir the Grave, I'm divided. The fact that it's a sorcery makes me want to keep Angelic Renewal, but the fact that it's not a permament makes me want to put it in. That's complicated - I'm not sure about how to proceed here.
