Technically 1 too many cards... Your commander should be one of the 100 cards in the deck.

Added Mizzium Mortars to the sideboard instead of shock as a creature burn/mass removal spell.
I actually agree with Darkvisor66 on this particular point. No, heartless summoning wasn't made for a deck like this; simply casting it would instakill 4 of your own creatures. In addition to that, I would have to completely retool the deck to use heartless in it, and I have no desire to further tinker and finesse another extra card into the deck. No, heartless summoning doesn't belong in this deck. Why? I made the deck, and I don't want it in the deck, and I have enough cards I need to replace when the blocks change already. ;)I appreciate the feedback! Here is how the deck would change to accomodate heartless:http://www.mtgvault.com/paladinvito/decks/heartless-dragons/
Removed an Archwing Dragon and a Swamp to make room for 2 Thundermaw Hellkites.
Wow, so many comments! Many thanks!@JaceTheMindsculptor: Good suggestions! It's very true that this isn't really a deck which requires the tutor, and the door is a great replacement. Thanks!@azoriuslikeaboss: Shivan Dragon and Utvara Hellkite are both far too slow; the whole idea of this deck is to beat them down fast and hard. As for Thundermaw Hellkite: while a fantastic dragon, it's far from necessary for the deck, and there would be a significant loss of overall versatility in making room for another dragon, especially one with a cmc of 5.
Had a neat idea come to mind earlier today: a Rakdos burn/discard deck. Looks like it could be fun. Respectful criticisms are welcomed.http://www.mtgvault.com/paladinvito/decks/mind-ravager/
Thanks for all the comments! And yes, this is one of the two decks I currently play. The other is:http://www.mtgvault.com/paladinvito/decks/scavenged-supremacy/@Darkvisor66: My original build of the deck was also a mono-red burn machine, but after some play testing I found that I typically ended up using the burn spells to control the battlefield, and that's when I mixed in black for direct creature removal. Putting some in the sideboard is a good idea, though; I'll do that. I also had an Utvara in the original build, but 9/10 times the game was over long before I could even cast him, so I took him out (which made me sad).@Kraimer: Between Doom Blade and Murder, I'd prefer Murder for pre-sideboard. The dooms are in the sb for if their deck is non-black and really, really creature heavy.@coldbeer666: Good suggestion on the Summits; I always forget about those dual-lands. I had Infernal Plunge in the original build of the deck, but with this build it's really not necessary; I would lose more utility than I would gain to take anything else out in favor of the plunge.
Designed a pretty brutal new Dragon deck; respectful criticisms would be welcomed.http://www.mtgvault.com/paladinvito/decks/diabolic-dragons/
After some playtesting, I re-added the 4 Kalonian Tuskers to the deck; they're just too good.Either cast them for early-game pressure, or, if you have Varolz in play, discard them to Lotleth Troll for counters then scavenge them for more cheap counters.
Thanks for the feedback. I prefer to keep the Gravecrawler for the reason that it offers the replayability option if Varolz isn't available to give it scavenge; discarding it to Lotleth and casting it right after is an effective early strat. However, I playtested the Dawntreadyer Elk today and found it lacking; it opens up a vulnerability window if you drop it on turn 2, and you may lose your land draw altogether. I think overall the Caravan Vigil is the way to go here; good suggestion.
4 copies of varolz is overkill for what the deck needs to do; with 4 Grisly Salvage and 2 Jarad's Orders, it really shouldn't be a problem to get Varolz into play.
Scavenge for 1 counter - slitherhead is a 1/1.As a choice between a 2/1 that I can scavenge for 2 counters OR replay from my graveyard, or a 1/1 that I can scavenge for free, I'll gladly take the 2/1.Lay of the Land helps to filter the remaining cards in the deck, making it more likely to continue getting playable cards rather than land I may or may not need, and elixir of immortality is in my sideboard.
Thanks for all the comments! The Dawntreader Elk is a good idea! I think I might try that out, thanks for suggesting it. My only worry is that it exchanges a possible first turn play for a second turn play.I considered Slitherhead when I built the deck originally, but in this deck style, they're useless; I'm not really trying to replay the Gravecrawlers, they're mostly scavenge fodder once Varolz is in play; and creatures with an actual scavenge aren't that useful compared to Varolz giving a 2/1 scavenge for 1.Doom blade is... ok, but putrefy gives more versatility with some artifact removal as well as no color restrictions on the creature to be destroyed.
Designed an aggressive new scavenge deck; would appreciate respectful criticisms.http://www.mtgvault.com/paladinvito/decks/scavenged-supremacy/
Designed a current standard-legal dragon deck (it won't be legal when Innistrad/M13 cycle out); give me some thoughts.http://www.mtgvault.com/paladinvito/decks/dragons-fire-2/
Brutal, though doesn't look like much real fun.
Neat deck, though I could forsee some instances where mana is scarce, and you don't get any Knight of the White Orchid to ease the pain. Regardless, I can dig it.
