The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

This is the version of Maverick I am currently playing - I've been building it for some time, but I still lack some important cards: Maze of Ith, Wastelands and Karakas (mostly due to their price). Right now, Tectonic edges are used as proxies for Wastelands. On the other hand, I am planning to change Path to Exile with Swords to Plowshares and make some room for one or two copies of Stoneforge Mystic and Sylvan Library. One more idea is to run single copy of Life from the Loam, so I can use cycling lands and land destruction again.

Not bad for a budget Maverick list. I have always been a big fan of Sylvan Safekeeper. I think 2 Mirran Crusader over Lingering Souls would be a pretty nice and cheap change you could make. Crusader is just nasty when he's holding a sword. You could play 1 Ghost Quarter in place of 1 Tectonic Edge until you get Wastelands. You can pump a KotR pretty decently by sacking a land for Ghost Quarter, and then blowing up one of your own lands with it. Horizon Canopy is another land you should think about. Taps for both your colors, is fetchable with KotR and can draw cards. At some point your gonna have to suck it up and get Windswept Heaths. Having 7-8 fetches helps keep KotR big early.

Hey I like the deck but I would defiantly use ghost quarters over edges until you get waste lands I found using them to be more useful. STP over PTE sword of fire and ice because you need to be drawing cards also horizon canopy. Also I like to abuse pridemages ability so instead of birds use nobles Thalia is a good sideboard so there two free spaces in your deck I would cut one jitte if your putting stoneforge put sword of light and shadow in there to I think it would help.
