Deck Description

Peasant, Pauper, Noble, and now Aristocrat.

Here is the Challenge:
Make an Aristocrat deck.

Rules:
1) Decks must contain 60 cards.
2) Decks can have up to 2 rares. Of the two rares, each one must be unique. In other words, a deck can't have two copies of the same rare.
3) Mythic rares are not allowed. Ever! Yes, that means no planeswalkers.
***EDIT: There are 5 Planeswalkers that started out Rares, and were converted over to Mythical Rares:
Aristocrat Planeswalkers (Only allowed Planeswalkers in Aristocrat Format)
- Ajani Goldmane
- Jace Beleren
- Liliana Vess
- Chandra Nalaar
- Garruk Wildspeaker
4) Decks can also have up to 12 uncommons. Like the rares, the number of copies you can include of any particular uncommon is restricted. In this case, no more than three copies of any one uncommon are allowed.
5) The rest of your deck is composed of commons, with the restriction that only 4 copies of up to three particular commons are allowed, with the rest of the deck's commons being limited to no more than 3 per unique common.
6) Basic lands are used as normal, with no particular limit on copies.
7) Sideboards are allowed and encouraged, and may include up to 1 rare and 3 uncommons, duplicating perfectly the rarity distribution of a typical booster pack. Additionally, none of the cards in the sideboard can be copies of the cards in the main deck.
8) Sideboards are allowed to have 4 copies of up to two particular commons in the sideboard.

How to Play

What better way to wage war than with dragon fire? This deck is designed to rush to the summoning of two powerful dragons, who show up hungry to boot. And what better way to feed them than goblins!

Deck discussion for Dragon Food (Aristocrat)

Poor little Goblins!!
What did they ever do to deserve that?!

Joking aside, good stuff!
I would definite recommend some sort of equipment that gives those dragons of yours protection. Hexproof. Indestructibility. Something. If you don't, your opponent's are going to nuke them very fast.

I love War Marshall with Devour, nice call there.

Do you have a recommendation for those keywords most of the things i can think of run at uncommon minimum, which makes building for it in aristocrat. Maybe Mask of Avacyn? Any other suggestions?

You are very true...i thought of that same problem even as I was typing out the advice. Most of the good stuff like that are rare. I just know that once your opponent sees that Dragon being pumped up by devouring...they are going to try to kill it as soon as possible. Number enemy # 1.

To cheat for you, pain42, Whispersilk Cloak is Uncommon in all expansions EXCEPT Darksteel.
In Darksteel, it is Common.

It would make your Dragon unblockable, and make him unable to be targeted. Which doesn't mean he can't be killed...just that it makes it harder for them to kill him.

Good luck!

done and done, i didn't realize there was a common variant on that, and i wouldn't call it cheating, especially if you're allowing the original planeswalkers to fly

Good point.

Now, I think with the Cloaks, those dragons are going to strike fear in your opponent!
A 14/14 flying Preyseizer Dragon that can't be blocked, or targeted...nasty!

i mean, flying is faux-unblockable anyway, and predator is hasty which helps evade removal in the absence of the cloaks

Dang dude. This deck is brutal. And I thought a swarm of goblins were bad ...

Hey quick suggestion i would take out the tormenting voice because personally i think its the worst card in khans because you have to discard a card before the draw, do u see what im saying? i have seen decks where people make it work and it turns out really good but it just doesnt fit this deck because what if your only down to that card in your hand, you cant play it. I hope this helps your deck :)

I vote searing blood for the replacement.

searing blood is uncommon, so that won't be happening unfortunately, if you have other draw suggestions i'll take them though

Maybe you could add faithless looting?

Hmm ... faithless looting isn't true card draw ... it's more like scry. That being said, it's pretty damn good.

I have some other common, modern-legal red card draw for you. RR for dicard 1 draw 2 Wild Guess, but that's just a tormenting voice. But hey, it's m14 legal and rotation safe!

haha yup, will prolly just keep the tormenting voice, that's the problem with red is that it doesn't have a lot of true draw, 90% comes with a price such as looting/rummaging, best red draw imo is browbeat

And with Browbeat, most people are douchebags and just take the 5 damage, and deny you drawing the 3 cards.

this is true

Untrue.

The best red draw is, hands down, wheel of fortune.

if you don't mind throwing you hand buy yes

Simply wait til you top deck. Even with 2 or 3 cards in hand, it's a beast of a 3 drop. Draw 4 to 7 is nothing to sneeze at. Fire all your burn till you are empty, then reload.
