The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I liked the idea of a mill deck but cannot win. It doesn't work fast enough and I'm having loads of trouble with opposing creatures. I'm probably going to splash black and multi. I've been thinking of ditching the traumatizes, and twincasts for other stuff like more brain freezes and def more isochrons. Suggestions welcome

Update: I dropped twincast, tome scour, and phyrexian walkers. Added archive trap, more isochrons, and guard gomazoa. Giant torts is in there cause I was short a card. Feel free to comment

Deck discussion for Mono Blue Mill needs help

its a good base for a miller, but this deck needs more control.... i like isochron scepter in this deck you should put more in. keep traumatize its the shiz.. lose twincast put 2 more brain freeze in. drop phyrexian walker and put 4 wall of frost or 4 guard gomozoa,,, i know they're both slower but infinitly better blockers. you could put ensnaring bridge in to prevent attackers all together. and finally 2 or 3 ponders never hurt. let me know if any of my advice helps. and please look at and rate a couple of my decks.

Not enough punch, there are better destructive cards such as archive trap, aether snap to bounce your lands and their creatures. I would look at better ways to control the board. Also if you are going to have a scepter why not have glimpse as the card under it. If you want a solid mill you should use black and blue, blue lacks in areas that black is strong in.

definitely splash black, since the best Mill Cards (Mind Funeral, Glimpse the Unthinkable and Haunting Echoes, Nemesis of Reason) are at least partially black

add hand control to last longer; you don't need Isochron Scepter, it's too vulnerable to removal; definitely sideboard Archive Trap and add some black spot removal cards (eg Damnation)

Thanks to those who commented. I'll be toying with some of these cards to see how it flows. Archive trap will be a definite. I would def put 4x glimpse in but I do have to be cost considerate at this point. Also thinking about swans of bryn argoll. Any other ideas, feel free to leave them

If you are adding archive trap, try to find a way to force the opponent to search their deck, because if you play one, they will refuse to do it, then you end up having a mana-expensive card that is less effective than hedron crab+fetch land is in the long run. Also, a new fetch that works the same as Terramorphic Expanse is Evolving Wilds. With traumatize, you should also have keening stone. Together they take out an entire deck. And, even if you want mono-blue, think about Bojuka Bog. That way, they can't grab stuff that you milled.

So I removed the twincasts. tome scours and and phyrexian walkers. I added guard gomazoa, archive trap, more isochrons and a giant tortoise. I just needed to add one more card.I think I may add more fetch type lands like Evolving winds as brianguyMTG suggested. Keening stone is in the mail. Feel free to comment
